You had an article up on TLG last week and no-one noticed? I wouldn't shout about it, Mark ...

I think the point Mark's trying to make is that people are all too quick to criticise if we don't update something, but when we have a news story THREE days before anyone else, including the official site and the Southend United bible that is ShrimperZone, nobody seems to care.

Sometimes it makes you wonder what the point is of what you're doing...
Three days before anything had been confirmed and a message had just been left on a answer machine.

Funny how critical of our site they are. Apparently your 5086 posts in just over a year (averaging well over ten a day) isn't that great in their eyes.

Is there really nothing better to do in East London?

Also, just seen some of the other threads on the board:

"Mornings suck" - a scathing attack on early mornings. One of them is an accountant.

"Drugs" - this 'hot topic' is reporting on the state of drug use in UK. Not performance related drugs, recreational ones.

"London Marathon Entry Accepted" - also a 'hot topic', this one charts several posters' attempts to get accepted for the London Marathon. There are a mere 10 1 line entries on the first page.

Clearly this is a strongly football related forum. And we don't have wit, charm and good looks apparently. It's not a bloody social club! What a bunch of jokers.

Well, looking at how few of them objected when someone suggested we give out drugs on the NHS, it would appear you're right.

Sounds about right, wanting us wealthy people in Southend to pay for the country's drug habits.

Has anyone seen the breaking news on the official site. Well it’s a no go for the beam back game as they would need a gate of 2,0000 to watch it. Seems a bit steep to me or is it a typo!

Not a dig at you personally Dave, merely a statement. The news was on what is acting as the official Clacton Town website last Thursday night. That to me insinuated that they had agreed to stage the game at Roots Hall - they wouldn't have mentioned it otherwise. Our local media also knew last Friday.
