It's MY current opinion, therefore to me it's NOT tripe. As I said at the Stockport game, it was like watching 2 away teams.

This is the other problem with the current situation, it's causing all these different factions to splinter and bicker. There is a distinct lack of respect for other people's opinions around here just now, and seemingly if you don't conform to the expected norm then you're derided for it.

Oh & sorry, but I still (as I've had from Day Minus One) have got major reservations about our so-called excellent manager. To me he's connected with all the current problems at the top and is also therefore tainted. Again, purely MY OPINION, but something I nevertheless believe to be the case.

Never said it wasn't your opinion but that doea not make it not tripe. But you repeating it ad nauseam is a kind of water torture. Also just what about Sturrock's impressive CV do you have trouble with because I cannot understand it. He must be on paper one of the lower league's top managers. Whether it will work here is a moot point of course.

i think this thread has come to the conclusion that yes are happy to sit around and do nothing. shameful IMO. others may have different to mine but that is mine.

i have been saying ron is scum for years and years and i used to get shot down for it everytime way before the money trouble started so 1 defeat has not triggered this.

Yes, very philosophical Beefy. However it doesn't answer the question does it?

I don't think the question has much relevance to our current situation.

You're on a plane having problems and likely to crash. You think it's the pilot's fault. Do you throw him out of the window even though you haven't checked if anyone else on board is in a position to fly it, or do you cross your fingers and hope that he manages to turn things around and stablise the plane?

I'm not saying that the pilot doesn't need replacing, but there needs to be someone lined up to take over otherwise we're going to crash even faster.

OK, using the exact same analogy;

You're on the plane and and someone claims they are able to fly the plane, but the pilot, wants to be the hero, and reap the rewards, so says he won't relinquish control of the plane. What do you do as a passenger, sit around hoping they reach an agreement? Or do all you can to remove the pilot?

Let me just add aswell, the pilot is in the cockpit, and has locked the door, so removing him is near on impossible. But, again, do you sit around hoping it'll all work out, or do you try and kick the door in?

I'd probably stick with the pilot, seeing as he is a pilot, and not somebody who just claims they could be a pilot... Which is pretty odd, because I don't actually see any prospective pilots on this plane.

No matter how tied up with Ron the club is, there are very few on here who can disagree with the notion that RM is a poor negligent shambles of a chairman who has not only gambled with the club once before, he seems prepared to do it again.

He is one step from a mental institution with his stadium obsession.

Unfortunately, we are tied to each other, so what can we do?

by the way wheres out brand spanking new stadium??

Well, there was a budget. With labour and materials to build the whole thing.

Then Ron realized that we owed HMRC 2.1M.....
Then Ron reluctantly had to fork out for wages for his staff\players (how dare they demand paying)
Then Ron had to provide Onions in our burgers
Then Ron decided to print off several thousand pieces of paper with "Believe" written on them
etc etc

I think a few things have been shaved from the budget, but we have enough for a pitch to be marked out and one corner stand to be built. I think the farmer also said he would leave an old disused barn, so RM is not letting anything go to waste, so we should have a terrace there....

I think on the retail side, there is enough for a corner shop.

Beefy, I've a lot of respect for you but why did you mention that bloody plane

Sorry. It seemed like a good idea at the time.

We need to have this second pilot lined up, we need to check that he actually is what he says he is and has the capabilities of actually flying the plane.

At the moment, I don't see anyone lined up.

but a boycott would. Which some fans are already doing this season

Dont actually believe that there is a wide spread boycott. Yes the crowds are down, but because we are currently mid table, not because of RM. If we started to win, and say won 8 games on the spin and the same RM rumours were in public domain, the crowds would increase. Whether the haters of RM like it or not, 80% of football fans are swayed by results and performances on the pitch, not the board room !

I think our crowds have been quite healthy this season, considering the league we are in, I remember the same league many years ago, where we pulled in crowds of 2,000 !

"Some" people have boycotted RM, but not enough to warrant it being called a boycott !

Hate to say it, but anyone else in charge, especially if you was a fan, would have got carried away with 2 promotions in 2 seasons and the chance to try and stay in the Championship and "gambled" with money we didnt have. There is no hindsight clause in this world. If the Championship gamble had succeeded, we would now be here congratulating the chairman on his ambition and drive, as it is, he lost the gamble and therefore our fall from grace is evident to all.

This does not answer peoples feelings on the manner RM has dealt with certain issues, but a point that should be remembered if we had stayed in the Championship for at least one more season !!

I actually agree. But what happens if/when the plane reaches the level where it is irreversible, and nothing can save it. You're moments from death, do you really want to discuss credentials with someone who may, or may not be able to save you?

one rule when it comes to gambling is only gamble what you can afford to.

If a manager fails he gets blamed. Ron failed in a drastic fashion so should accept blame. The fact the man still thinks he is in the right tells a lot about what sort of person he is!!!!
