Breaking News Leon Chambers-Parillon Signs

: 1.73 meter is approximately 5.68 foot.

Formula
for an approximate result, multiply the length value by 3.281
Most sources say 5.675853
This is turning into a maths thread! 1.73m is 68.11024 inches .... 5'8" 5.68 ft means 5ft plus 0.68ft, ie 8" All this seems irrelevant as he seems a good bit taller than that from the clips and Transfermarkt is probably wrong.

These are the kind of signings that I want the club to be making. It's what was expected when COSU came in.

Scouring the lower leagues and giving exciting young talent a chance.

They dont cost the earth in transfer fees or wages and a genuinely grateful to be given a chance.

Of course, not all will work out but these are the players that may make the club money.

In the heart where Thames meets the sea's embrace, Lies Southend United, in blue-clad grace. Through trials faced and battles fought, A new hero to their ranks is brought.

From Slough's domain, where he did rise, Leon Parillon, with determined eyes. A midfielder of skill and might, Ready to lead the Shrimpers' fight.

Seventy-seven times he wore The Rebel's crest, in games of yore. Eight goals he netted, each a gem, Now Roots Hall awaits for him.

With vision sharp and passes true, He'll weave the field in shades of blue. The fans will cheer, the rafters ring, As Leon makes the faithful sing.

So here's to battles yet unfurled, As Parillon takes on the world. Southend's new chapter has begun, With Leon's legacy to be won.

Welcome, Leon, to the shore, Where echoes of the crowd implore. Lead us to glory, write your name, In Southend's everlasting fame

@Napster Excellent work...

However, it has an irregular metre so what tune is it sung too. And how the hell are TBV going to remember all the lyrics?

:Winking:

No squad number? Is there a number being freed up that Leon wants? Seems strange not to have announced his number?

He was wearing no.12 at Slough, and that number is vacant in our squad list.
Edit: He was only listed as PARILLON on the match graphics and the back of his shirt.

I think you men to swap your AI software.

That's a bit hard. If you mean that seriously. He might not be playing well this season but he has stuck by this club.

That’s like saying Dave on the forecourt hasn’t sold a car all year but he’s been with us for 5 years and he’s never pulled a sicky so don’t worry about it Dave.
