Was surprised to see how their attendances have gone up over the season though, from under 20k at the beginning to 25-29k for the last 3 games.

Thats only because they slashed admission prices for both adults and kids.

A (normally) reliable source here told me over lunch that there are growing concerns about rumours that 5,000 ticketless fans are heading down from Leeds for the match at Roots Hall. I can't see it myself but is there any news from Essex?

Well my Dad works in the Falcon down the front and the Police have pre warned most of the Land Lords and Ladys of the potential of trouble and they are expecting a large number. Whether this equates to 5K i dont know

i think 5,000 seems a bit to many. prob will be a bit of trouble as at the carling cup game my cousin and his mate who are 13 where given abuse by fully grown blokes. pathetic i think

When I was at the King Edmund school in the late 80's there was a rumour that the ICF were coming down to give us a good kicking.

Luckily for us they didn't show up but you have to take these kind of threats seriously.

The problem with the Leeds support is that a lot of the "old" hardcore trouble makers have long since been banned by the club & cannot get into the ground for home games, due to their faces being known. Away games are easier to get into & get tickets for & get past security arrangements.

Leeds probably have the most fanatical away support in the country & I'm worried that there will be no end of trouble, especially if they don't win. The word mental, is not a word used loosely when describing the some of the d!ckheads that will be coming to our fine town, but some of them deserve it!

I've been told that the Police are on a 3 day standby as Leeds are coming down for the weekend intent on smashing the town up. There is good intelligence apparently and they are acting on it.

Bloody Hell Mikes on about hear say... my mate in the Pub said........ blah Blah blah... Leeds have only sold allocation Tickets in the last week or so... the mighty Leeds in the 60s and 70s are well gone...
