Joe gave us one of those incredible football moments which may never be repeated,he also wants to play for his own club.

Good luck Joe and thanks.

We would absolutely love it if a local boy came back from a successful loan spell and said those comments to the Echo.

He's not being disrespectful to Southend. When he commented on a national stage his comments were full of respect to our club and us as fans.

He's probably being disrespectful to the manager, which is as others have noted, a bit disconcerting as he's the second forward in two days to say as much.

Browns style may not suit everyone but he got us promoted which was the aim at start of season

Perhaps, now that we are in League One, he will change his style? If we want to stay there we shall certainly need to score more goals because, in my opinion, we are going to find it far more difficult to concede as few as the season just past.

When I first read this I thought '****' he has a lot to learn about how to express himself but at least he is honest

Reading it again I thought 'fair enough' he is loyal to his parent club, nothing wrong with that . He is simply too young/immature to have realised what he achieved

Will be interesting to see how brown approaches games in higher division. You would assume we will find it harder to keep clean sheets your right. Hopefully we will add some real quality going forward but I think brown will stick with his current style by and large

Joe could possibly have mentioned what a wonderful time he had with us but he is a Charlton player and wants to make it there. Good luck to him for the future.
He has our hearts for that sensational piece of magic at Wembley (it could have been a scuffed tap in for all I cared) and I thank him for my memories.

Pigott was, understandably, all smiles after the game but despite his significant contribution to the victory he was quick to point out that the day did not only belong to him and his team-mates.

“It is up there with the best days of my life,” he said with a beaming grin.

“It is also a great day for Southend and the fans - they deserve it more than anyone.”

It's like thinking you've found your soul mate at Speed Dating, only for her to burst out laughing when you ring to ask for a date....

Glad he's gone won't make it in league 1, done my nut in when he came on at Wembley as he looked so slow and disinterested, he thinks he's better than what he is.

Will always go down as a hero after that goal at Wembley but no not for me, league 2 player if that.

Agreed, that goal apart,he often needed three touches for a shot at goal, silly lad.

Just remember a lot of people slagged off Woodrow too, how do we possibly know how good he could be?
The guy scored quite a few goals in league 2 and one of our most important too. He is young and already done pretty well in my eyes.

But you persevere. You give it all you've got. And just when you've given up all hope...

...you outmanoeuvre the crowd of men trying to stop you getting into her box and slip it in against the odds anyway. You then celebrate wildly, post the pics on Facebook, and tell all your mates. Then, a week later, you go back on Facebook and tell the world you really wish you could make it with your ex-girlfriend as you were only meant to be with your "soul mate" for a month or so, she didn't let you go in your favourite position, and you didn't much like the way her father pushed you around.

Don't forget that some even said Assombalonga wasn't that good and shocked he moved to Peterborough for £1m.

Jeez, that almost sounds like first hand experience.

I don't think there's anything wrong with that article.

The kid has grown up playing for Charlton youths, that's where his priorities lie. Why would he not try and break into the first team? He was never our player, he never belonged to us, people need to remember that.

His last tweet;

Thanks to everyone at @SUFCRootsHall it's been emotional. Special thanks to the fans who have been class. Best wishes,

Give the guy a break.

Even if he told everyone at Southend to **** off...he's still scored a goal that I've celebrated like no other. Will always be a club legend.
