If we do sign Piggy permanently I bet he will be one of those players that will not be forgiven for that interview by some on here.
I can't see that will be the story tomorrow, that he has signed permanently.

Probably 'was a great day at Wembley' 'talks are still ongoing regarding my future etc.'

Hope I'm wrong though I rate him and would happily have him here next season.

Haven't read the article yet but back page of echo says something along the lines of 'I'd love to come back'. So I guess the return of the Pig may be on the cards!

Totally agree. Mine was a 'If we do' rather than a 'If we have' post.:smiles:

IF he signs, it will all depend on how he is doing.

20 goals and everyone will love him, doesn't score for 4/5 games it will be brought up time and time again.

Changed his tune after finding out Charlton might not want him!

I tell you what, I would love to sign all four of those released players! Callum Harriot is a class winger, obviously we know the pig, rhoys wiggins is a good fullback and then Andre Bikey is a very experienced centre half!

Excellent news. Never wanted Piggott to come here next season. With this, and Corr off up the M11, the good news just keeps on coming. Only McLaughlin to keep away from the club next season, and that's a back of the net hat trick for me.

A completely new start up front for the new campaign is what's needed, because we didn't exactly set league two alight last season did we.
We got ****ing promoted, with a run-in that featured 9 out of 10 games won with no goals conceded!!! Get a grip you depressing sod!

This is a fact....too many on here actually believe they know better than a manager who guided us to promotion. We got promoted ffs, yet some still think there opinion is better than real actual facts and results....see the moaners in league one next year.

Other than possibly Adam Barrett maybe, I doubt we have a single players on the books here who would rather be at Southend United than Charlton Athletic.

If we can get him then I'd like to see him back here.

Joe Pigott would be interested in switch to Southend United if he does not get chance

JOE Pigott would be open to a return to Southend United, if he does not have a future at Charlton Athletic.

He is only 21 years of age and not accustomed to the press interest in him. Give him a break, when he was interviewed he was a Charlton player hoping to play for them. Nothing wrong with this, he was just showing the Championship side that he was keen to succeed with them. Also, we have no idea if his words were quoted correctly!

If our manager signs Pigott welcome him and remember what we owe this player. Some people can only see the nagative aspect of every situation.

Remember what you said at 21, I sometimes look back in horror. But if not there yet think before you speak!
