We all pay for healthcare according to how much you earn.
In this case, Labour wants to tax a certain group of people regardless of wealth. Many of who work hard and make self sacrifice to allow their child a better education. The exact opposite to anyone who sends their child to school without a breakfast or dinner money. If your child ends up with no dinner there is no excuse in the world to justify your reasons.
It's a bizarre connotation to make that "many" people who send their children to private schools are hard working and make sacrifices to do so, so should not be targeted with tax increases, but equally there's no justification for others to send their children to school without food or the means to buy food. You're keen to extrapolate individual circumstances in some instances, but not others.
I've no idea on this, but what's the price elasticity of private education? Is whacking VAT onto those fees likely to impact on uptake? Private schools already receive breaks through their charitable status.
