can't see it for one minute. And although I can't see it happening an acquaintance of mine who supports Borient is adamant we are behind his transfer request and his agent is angling to get the move back on. I can't see it but it is many times more likely than Akinde not least because with only 6 months on his contract Simpson must cost less than he would have done 6 months ago.

You can bet he is trying to get a deal back on.....interestingly we are in a much better position to negotiate a deal now. Can't see us affording a fee for Akinde.

Cox, Ranger, Fortune and Simpson would surely be the best quartet of strikers in the league! The Simpson deal isn't totally improbable, the club aren't getting anything out of him at the minute and will go for free in the summer. Even 50k is better than nothing. I'm not saying he'd go for that, but it's probably the type of offer a club would start with.

With Cox, Ranger and Fortuné under contract and playing well, why would we invest even £50k and why would Simpson consider coming to a club where he had no guarantee of first choice football?

Coventry are a team in distress - swapped their highest goal scorer for 2 players coming in the other direction and seem to be bringing in some experienced heads to shore them up and avoid relegation.

I would like to see a different type of striker at the club - one like the old Andy Ansah perhaps?
