He might not demand his defence to launch the ball in the sky when under no pressure.

For my first post i'd like to thank Paul Sturrock for getting us through the worst stage of our modern day existence and to get a manager in now i think is a smart move that will give us a head start for next year, rather than sturrock going in the summer and new manager coming in preseason, Phil brown? maybe the boys after their current do need a bollocking and he can by reputation do that. looking forward to the last few games now.

Don't known if early 80's is still considered "modern" or not but the days of Anton Johnson were very dark.

It's a sad state of affairs when the new manager of Southend couldn't even get the job of manager of Limerick FC here in Ireland. Turning southend into a joke just 2 weeks before wembley. I was meant to be travelling over for the Crewe game but don't think ill bother me b*llox now. Rightly ****ed off. Irish shrimper

Long-term Allardyce side-kick so expect Hamsters' youngsters on loan on the cheap as we go for a lower budget, support club to vermin, who laugh all the way to the bank as they got the stadium we all funded on the che.

Interesting article on this website;

Big ego, Orange Mackam, to mention a few titles, some good points, but, also some bad.

The Jury is out, but, thanks to a lot of " sturrock out ", chants over the last two seasons, has built a team from scratch to where we are now, yes we have lost to some lower teams, on a very tight budget, let`s see what happens tomorrow.

Good luck for the future PS, and I hope that we win at Wembley and give you a great send off.

Can't sat I'm a fan. Not they type of character you can get behind. Will be all about him, probably get us a bit of coverage but if he has even a little bit of success he will be whoring himself looking for a better club.

He would be one of my last choices ever but I wanted PS gone and I am happy to be proven wrong but Phil Brown altough I am praying to god it is not him.

Not particularly pleased with this appointment (if it goes ahead) however we can't pass judgement on whether he's the right man for the job until he comes in and shows us what he can do and the sort of results he gets. However much you don't like Phil Brown get behind him and the team and he might well do a good job.

Just asked my mate who is a Hull fan for a few positives regarding Phil Brown. His reply was:

Positives: Can embarrass your team at half time?

Negatives: You know of a good tanning salon? Orange Brown Nuts!

Seems his reputation of being the same shade as Tango is gonna be hard to shift. Expect some decent chants from the oppo :thumbsup:

Derby supporting friend just said "i fear for you".

Just had a look at statistics for winning % and Sturrock is at 40% and Brown is at 30%. Considering the respective states of the clubs they have managed, I think Sturrock comes out on top on that measure.
