Ibehre-less

Put it this way - Rev's was sent out for beining a striker - and not scoring goals. Soooo - simple - we need to get rid of this chap, and try someone else.

Good old trustworthy Dr. Warchest.

Unfortunately, there are still some though, that WILL believe everything that come from the club

Confirmation, if we believe the Echo, that Malone's loan period has been extended and he will thus be available to play against the Ewes.

It also states that Ibehre has gone back to MKD. No great surprise in either of these pieces of news and didn't really see the need to open a new thread. So, for January, desperately seeking a striker..................out of form ones, seeking to regain their confidence, need not apply.

Revell was sent out for 3 reasons.

1) He was unhappy that he wasn't a first choice. He actually requested a loan move after the opening day of the season.

2) The club didn't feel he was doing the job he was brought in to do.

3) To get decent wages of a player who wasn't going to be a regular off of the wage bill.

Not exactly enthralled about Malone staying on as I don't think he's as good as we thought he was, but if Herd still isn't fit we might as well keep him on.

However he had started the last couple of games before he left and with the lack of alternatives probably would have played the lion's share of games since he's been out on loan.

If no.2 is correct then something is seriously wrong with our scouting methods as Revs was the exact same player for us that he was for Brighton and is now for Swindon.

Freedman and Walker are better options right now than two kids who haven't pulled up trees in the reserves and have never played at this level. Saying 'Oh well they can't be no worse' simply isn't true. Of course they can be worse and almost certainly would be.

In your opinion... by no means certain.

Please by all means offer your analysis of why two teenagers with not a game's experience between them and who haven't been destroying all before them at reserve level would not "almost certainly" be worse options up front than two experienced professionals. Particularly in a derby match, in poor weather when we're crying out for three points.

It might work but it probably won't. I might win the lottery this week but I probably won't. It's by no means certain.

Laurent's best position is on the wing. End of discussion.

Even thinking about playing him up front purely because he's tricky would be a monumental step backward.

Laurent's pace and skill is wasted up front

Give Walker a chance. I can't see what harm it will do. Will certainly offer more to the team than Freedman.

I would play Walker.

Y'know, i still can't believe Laurent was put back up front today instead of giving Walker a confidence-boosting start instead.
How we missed Laurent's dazzle on the wing. JFC should've made way as the unlucky sub, instead of racing back and tackling from behind giving away the free-kick in a dreadful position to put us 0-2 down.

Gutted to go 2 down because we made them look ordinary today. Mountain to climb against a team with decent quality. Real shame, we had a chance to beat them and went to sleep at the start of the second half when if truth be told our 1st half dominance should've paid dividends.
