Not seen one of those, I just work on E-T being approximately:

GK - £25,000
DF - £30,000
WN - £20,000
IM - £35,000
ST - £32,500

then factor up from there.

Got two good pops in training this week.

I've now got a 26yo magnificent PM now has world class winger and a 22yo world class PM with now solid winger.

I reckon the mag PM, wc wing bloke should be worth a few quid and will now sell him as soon as I can get a replacement in. That is easier said than done. I'm now 100% English and only look at buying English players, plus I want someone with a speciality, preferably head. So if you have an English 21yo WC PM with inadequate or more wing, please sell him to me!

A balanced set of trainees - two 17, 18, 19 and 20 yos and a 21 wyo Magnificent WB selling next pop and a 22yo Supernatural CB about 3 weeks from popping to be sold.

First team defence reads:

Mag, Brill, Sup, WC, Brill.

Already have 800K in the bank and assuming, as is likely, I retain a top 4 spot I'll aim to upgrade a midfielder and winger in between seasons. I'm tempted to switch to 5-3-2 but as I've improved year on year with a 5-4-1 I'm finding it hard to persuade myself to switch. With the team at the top autopromoting if his replacement is nothing special then it's an all out promotion push next season.

ORM, do those defenders have any secondaries and/or specialities?

I think if I was training defence I'd stick with 5-4-1 but train up wingers in defence in the full-back slots.

A 20yo world class sounds pretty good.

I tend to buy WBs with minimum passable wing and CBs with min passable passing, though oddly enough I don't use CA except for trial in the odd friendly. Sometimes I'll opt for less if the rest of the skills are balanced out or they have a notable speciality. Using pressing for tough games and a better use of PiC than I used to works for me. Oddly enough i rarely change position orders and have rarely suffered.

As for the 20 yo I really benefited with 3 or 4 players when ages were tweaked. The other point to add is that until prices started rising again I would never buy an excellent 17yo as the bidding wars could go to 400K or more for someone you could just about sell for double that after 4 seasons. Checking Altid against my joining month puts me in top 20 for most things so I know I'm not doing too bad.

Good work on the secondaries. They make a hell of a difference to sell-on prices.


Got an interesting game today. On paper I should win comfortably, but I have taken a gamble and tried to PIC. Good start though, with a winger to head specialist specialist event. Just a shame about the crowd being 10,000 below capacity despite excellent recent form.

When did wing attack training come in? Stumbled across it yesterday, will be much more effective for me as I can train all my players equally rather than my wingbacks only getting half training. Slightly slower naturally but I can live with that. My wing training set up now reads:

Nope, wing for wingers and forwards. So you can get 10 slots per week, though I would only use 9 as I won't play 3-4-3 in league games.

comfortable win for me today keeping me second five points clear. Got a toughie next week against runaway leader so I'll PiC that and put it in the bank for the last game which will decide 2nd/3rd spot. Currently 900K in the bank with a couple of sales to consider, or may just hang on for another pop. Either way should be able to strengthen the squad between seasons for a genuine stab at promotion next year.
