How many shrimperzoners are not going to be posting next season

the big question is this, how many of us posted on here when it was not password protected, I remember with affection the letter from the club in 2001 I received re posting on this board, hey that makes me having posted for 6 years, you dont need to be einstein to work that out do you

I've been posting here since 2001 as well, as I'm sure you know. Others I remember from that time are Leeboy, Westcliff Shrimper, whatever happened to him, Ninja, Smudger (see Westcliff Shrimper), Bob Cratchitt, Scriven, Axeman and so on.

A reduction in the average attendance of around one-third is actually quite realistic, especially if you take into account the fact that the away stand will not sell out so easily in League One, so I agree with TMWLT (for once). However a similar reduction in regular visitors on ShrimperZone? I can't see it; the site has grown throughout the last 18 months and I can't see it losing any more than the usual (work commitments, marriage, babies, etc.).

Dunno. I miss him ...

Actually it's having a baby that has made me use this site more. Always at home now lol

Ive been on the website since the near begginnings and even trotted along on some of the infamous STC Minibus jaunts to exotic locations such as Macclesfield and Rushden.

However i rarely post because i never usually have anything interesting to say (or get called Judas by SZFC), so my question is mr TMWLT which catogory does that leave me in. Am I 34% not posting, am i 66% maybe posting or 100% dont care what you think?

To be honest I can only see the forum growing from here on, ok we may have been relegated but the new supporters will hopefully have noticed what its all about here at roots hall, I wouldn't really call myself a new supporter, the first season I started supporting us, we were in the same situation we are in now, going down from the same league so I definitly wont be going anywhere!

Never stopped The General

:)

May I also stress if it has not been stressed already, the join date to the forum does not mean for sure when the person started supporting southend, if they have supported for a while and like what they see here they will stay! :)

Lucky sod, can't advise me on a strategy that will persuade my Mrs to relocate to Essex will you?

Very easy........

In one sentence…….. the chap that lives next door but one to me is the reason,
His Name is Alex Salmon and the reason is Independence for Scotland. My missus is an HR Manager for Shell and very intelligent (unlike me) and she recognises the need to be as far away from Scotland when Independence comes its way.

Plus she know how happy it would make me to go back home 
