The midfield just give our forwards nothing.
That would be something practised, or not as the case may be, in the training ground and talked about extensively you'd think

Crikey people only giving Phil Brown 5 games to sort it out. Have you seen our away games coming up, even if we were on a good run it would be a hard job to get 2 wins out of that lot.
So quite a bit could depend on our home games, as we have only won one out of our last eight at home, that must improve.
Also seems a problem that when we go a goal down how many times have we actually come back and got some points compared to how many times we take a lead and end up not winning?
Its not just about training, its whether the players are creative or not. Atkinson Timlin and Leonard arent creative players. Leonard is capable of getting goals, but I dont see him as a creative midfielder. We have had plenty of industrious midfielders, but always lacking the creative player who can make things happen in the final third. Im not sure thats something you can train into the players we have.
Maher wasnt particularly creative, he could pick out a pass at times, but most of the time he passed sideways too, but we normally had a player he could bring into play who could actually do something, like Gower. On Saturday you'd see a midfielder get the ball and other than hoofing it into the box I just couldnt see anyone he could give it to that would get forward with it and at least get a cross in. I don't remember one midfielder trying to pass through to a forward, nor thinking any of them actually had the ability to do so.
So they just passed it back or sideways as had no idea what to do.
We had no real wide threat, even the forwards whilst making runs had no pace to run channels or get into wide places to spread the play.
Exactly, start of the summer Brown said we needed a creative attacking midfielder, we missed out on Moussa and there's been no sign of looking at an alternative since until this rumoured bid for one which has now gone very quiet since the Simpson speculation. Its not just about training, its whether the players are creative or not. I'm no Brown fan, but what if Brown called the meeting asking Ron to get on with the task of getting the players in that we have apparently bid for using Saturday's performance as an indication that we have no time to waste?
Fair point, out of the next 6 games only 2 are at home. However if we get to the end of September and haven't won a game that would still ask some serious questions. We should he looking to get 2 wins out of them , Fleetwood at home should be a win, and we should hope to at least get a win from Bristol Rovers at home or just one of the other 4 away games.
never liked him. asap please
