That would be something practised, or not as the case may be, in the training ground and talked about extensively you'd think

Its not just about training, its whether the players are creative or not. Atkinson Timlin and Leonard arent creative players. Leonard is capable of getting goals, but I dont see him as a creative midfielder. We have had plenty of industrious midfielders, but always lacking the creative player who can make things happen in the final third. Im not sure thats something you can train into the players we have.

Maher wasnt particularly creative, he could pick out a pass at times, but most of the time he passed sideways too, but we normally had a player he could bring into play who could actually do something, like Gower. On Saturday you'd see a midfielder get the ball and other than hoofing it into the box I just couldnt see anyone he could give it to that would get forward with it and at least get a cross in. I don't remember one midfielder trying to pass through to a forward, nor thinking any of them actually had the ability to do so.

So they just passed it back or sideways as had no idea what to do.

We had no real wide threat, even the forwards whilst making runs had no pace to run channels or get into wide places to spread the play.

Crikey people only giving Phil Brown 5 games to sort it out. Have you seen our away games coming up, even if we were on a good run it would be a hard job to get 2 wins out of that lot.

So quite a bit could depend on our home games, as we have only won one out of our last eight at home, that must improve.

Also seems a problem that when we go a goal down how many times have we actually come back and got some points compared to how many times we take a lead and end up not winning?

What the hell does Bob Shaw do - I could scout better from my PC at work. Brian Horton too, what on earth does he contribute!!!! Bin all three ASAP

Ok try this we bring in Simpson at what cost .Well I doubt we wont know that one .The Ron say ok results are not what I and the board wants and fires Phil Brown .How much are we then going to lose of Bentleys and Paynes money to pay Phil Brown off on his remaining contract .Bye bye paydays ..

Makes me laugh when people say calm down its only one game. Of course it isn't just about Saturday. It's about the back end of last season, the fact that PB had had all summer to sort the out, yet, Saturday was just another add on to the pitiful end to last season, our in ability to kill a team off when on top, our inability to defend set pieces, the fact that although we love him, Barrett has been made captain etc etc

Fair point, out of the next 6 games only 2 are at home. However if we get to the end of September and haven't won a game that would still ask some serious questions. We should he looking to get 2 wins out of them , Fleetwood at home should be a win, and we should hope to at least get a win from Bristol Rovers at home or just one of the other 4 away games.

Exactly, start of the summer Brown said we needed a creative attacking midfielder, we missed out on Moussa and there's been no sign of looking at an alternative since until this rumoured bid for one which has now gone very quiet since the Simpson speculation.

A fit and firing Wordsworth would be a massive boost.

At the end of 2014-15 season Leicester stayed up, amazingly, with league winning form, they took that into the next season and won the Prem.
Last season we finished with relegation form and this is why I worry. Its only won game but we need to address the same old problems, set pieces and lack of creativity

It's not so much that we lost (it happens), it was the manner of the defeat that worries me. As soon as Gills scored the belief visibly drained, not just from one or two but throughout the entire team, very much like in many games towards the end of last season.

We can't keep capitulating as soon as the opposition scores, if this losing mentality doesn't change the dire run will continue. If we don't win in the next four or five games PB's time surely must be over, he's had all summer to stop the rot and the buck stops with the manager, rightly or wrongly.

Didn't we lose the first three home games last season under the same manager, yet spent most of the season in the top half of the table?

I'm no Brown fan, but what if Brown called the meeting asking Ron to get on with the task of getting the players in that we have apparently bid for using Saturday's performance as an indication that we have no time to waste?

No doesnt make sense. Phil wouldnt call a meeting due to the "alarming poor second half". The team we put out should never have fallen to pieces like that.

"Ron, I need an extra player now, look how terrible the existing squad play without him".

Doesnt hold a lot of weight.

The fact we have more away games than home for me is a good thing! Roots Hall can be very poisonous!

Like him or loathe him, Ron Martin is a good judge with managers. All previous managers have been given enough time to get it right and sacked just before getting it badly wrong! He's also given public warnings to managers before (remember him doing this on the pitch before a game under Tilson). With that in mind I reckon Brown will get until some of our injured players are back and the new signings have bedded in..... I reckon he'll pull the trigger if no improvement by end of September

Think he will get until end of October, if we are in the bottom 4 places then bye , bye PB. RM does usually give the managers a fair crack before any sacking ! Cant be any fairer than that me thinks !
