Saddens me to say, but my mob are eyeing up Torquay away (25th Feb) as a potential farewell match.
It's starting to feel like that, with no new information on the horizon. Wasnt planning on torquay away but now I am!Saddens me to say, but my mob are eyeing up Torquay away (25th Feb) as a potential farewell match.
Was looking at fixtures in the railway after the game and wasn't looking past Feb !Saddens me to say, but my mob are eyeing up Torquay away (25th Feb) as a potential farewell match.
Said mob were just discussing the possibility of HMRC being paid off. I mentioned that Martin Dawn were up before the beak next, and faced the same fate. One replied that they are about to build 250 homes in Shotgate (?).
Absolutely agree. Should be listen in only bit should be available to stream to all interested partiesThis meeting between the various groups ,100%, should be available as “view only” for anyone that wants to see it.
The most crucial period in the clubs history, a meeting to formulate plans just in case - and it’s a closed door meeting?
If you want to galvanise the support base to pull in one direction then this is your chance.
You can view a range of the cheapest bridging loans on the web site " MONEY " The majority of best offers starting with Mint offer bridging loans from between £1m to £25. The best of the first 6 Bridging loans all start with a 2% arrangement charge. Looks like you start off your application online. Precise and Lend Invest offer the lowest rate of 0.69% as their monthly interest rate, That applies up to £1m for Precise and £15M for LendinvestJust wondering if someone can do the maths and understands current interest rates on bridging loans - from a business perspective Ron knows that the embargo won’t be cleared until the next court date and so a loan to pay the HMRC won’t achieve anything until then. So if he lines one up surely he’ll only want one at the last possible moment. What would be the cost from now until the hearing date of having what he would consider an unnecessary loan?
I can’t see Ron selling anything until his big prize is secure. At that point I’m sure he’ll happily sell the club. I wouldn’t even be surprised if the deal is already in place with a new buyer or consortium but will only happen when a key milestone is achieved in the wider development.
This passage is quite brilliant. Dare I say it bang on the money as well.Quite brilliant article this. Must read.
Southend United: What We could be. A protest march. — Terrace Edition
Worried Southend United fans marched at the weekend for the removal of the club's chairman ahead of a March 1 date for the Shrimpers to clear a large tax debt. David Shields was at Roots Hall to capture an emotionally charged daywww.terraceedition.com
Doubt your the only one?. IF we get a 'stay of execution', expect a last min surge for tickets for the Barnet & Chesterfield games due to be played on March 3rd & 7th.Was looking at fixtures in the railway after the game and wasn't looking past Feb !
It was a bad day and hope I'm just forever the pessimist.

Good for them
Add the bit about how immature they are with songs about RM dieing, and stickers with the image of RM being hung. Disgusting.
Thank you for the correction.I think they meant Martin Grant Homes - which as far as I know has no connection to Ron. And since they don't have planning permission, guess will be at least a year, maybe 2 from starting

The bridging loan would only be used to see us through until the other funds become available.Having checked the London Gazette it is not only Martin Dawn Plc with a winding up petition against it but also Martin Dawn (EA) Limited and Martin Dawn (Plymouth0 Limited. The petitions are due to be heard on 7 and 8 February.
If the bridging loan does come through, some of it is clearly going to be used to pay the tax debts of these companies. How much is going to be left to fund the football club going forward must be questionable.
What worrying things is, hope Jack Martin wouldn’t want to be associated to a father who have killed the club, which would be unforgivable for the next 30 years. It should go without saying not to wish ill health or worse on anyone whatever the circumstances, that is clearly crossing the line... Reading this did has made me curious on the thought of succession, Ron is not getting any younger so the plan was likely to sell the club once in FF and he's made his many millions from both developments, there and at Roots Hall. As we all know that is in serious jeopardy... Jack Martin, one of his son's is the name that comes up on occasion as he's involved in affiliated businesses to the club and is said to have grown up as a fan albeit in a rather unique way given his Dad's reign. He would seem to be the most likely to take over the chairmanship as and when it was handed down. Is he someone anyone has liaised with, and a long shot but would he be or other family members be some of the few that may be able to talk sense to him? As I say a long shot but interesting to know if he's a chip off the old block or perhaps may have an ability to influence
