We won't find many better posts in 2023!
Ok let’s say Ron pays it’s all off , gets the ground sorted and the club is all square and even and we get promoted this season. Is Ron then forgiven ?
NO…..definitely not. Too much has happened now for Ron to ever be forgiven. He could build the new stadium but I will never forgive that man for the misery he has put on our club.

The only way Ron walks away with any sort of credibility now is if he sells asap.

Nope. Just want him gone.

Perhaps in 15 years time when we've had 2-3 other dodgy chairmen we'll look back more favourably, like people do with vic.

Edit: i could forgive him if he gets it all done, makes his millions but hands the stadium to the club for free and rent free

If he delivers a new stadium, premiership football, and the champions league I might call it quits.

In all seriousness, I accept the ups and downs, but I cannot forgive him for gambling with (& losing) our football league status - something that I feel was easily avoidable. Also, the reputational harm he has caused our club will take years to heal.

hearing players still not paid and might not be for a couple of weeks still. also that teams now sniffing round players and daggers in particular after Miley. this really is a sorry state of affairs and you have to ask yet again why oh why wont Ron accept some form of financial support. We could lose half our team if others come sniffing and i wouldn't blame one player for jumping. they have families, mortgages, mouths to feed so if guaranteed wages on time and in some cases maybe more why wouldn't they leave? Add to this poor office staff who probably earn even less then their plight is even more desperate

Wouldn't we have to accept offers? So I can't see them going anywhere

Is anyone offering 'financial support'? We're obviously aware there was at least one potential purchaser - but I wouldn't call that financial support.

i thought it had been mentioned by a few that offers had been put to Ron but guess its all hear say. whatever, this is as desperate as it gets. only part way through the month. if they cant pay January, how do they pay February etc. regardless of what happens March the 1st every employee of the club deserve pay. said it previously, Gateshead on Saturday 18.02.23 could be our last ever home game as Southend United FC, we need to fill the stadium and get some revenue through the turnstiles. its the ladt chance this month the club has to rasie any money
