I sit in the West, has anyone seen Adam on matchdays? If so where in the East...
If he's not in the squad then, by rights he would be up in the hospitality areas before matches. I'm sure there's people on here who would be able to confirm if he's been seen up there.

I sit in the east near the halfway line and haven't seen him in the director's box.....

Maybe a club spokesman needs to make a statement every time someone is dropped?

I don't think people's issue is that he's been dropped from the team, but rather he's been dropped from the squad and isn't even one of the two central defenders on the bench.

He wouldn't be in my starting XI but I find his disappearance from the squad and the sudden promotion of Dan Matsuzuka a little out of the ordinary.

Anyone who asks Barrett the 'right questions' is being totally naïve if they think he will speak openly about his situation at a Trust meeting. He is still employed by the club, his wages are paid by the club and he still has a contract until 2017.

Exactly. If he said the 'right thing' and denied an issue people like DWB wouldn't believe him; whilst if he said there was a problem between him and Brown, rigsby wouldn't believe him.

I certainly think it is possible that there has been a fallout between Brown and Barrett on the other hand I am not assuming there has been, or that the position is untenable. It is fair to say that Mercedes had a falling out with Lewis Hamilton yesterday but I fully expect him to be driving for them next year.

If Dan Matsuzuka was the only centre back on the bench I would be concerned but with Sokollik and White on the bench there is little benefit in Barrett being on the bench as well. Neither Barrett or Matsuzuka are likely to actually play but for Matsuzuka it is part of his development and I suspect he was pretty excited when he found out he was in the first team squad.

This is definitely Barrett's last season whereas Matsuzuka is one for the future and will be learning from being in and around the first team squad. Barrett is also an experienced pro and it possible that he and Brown have agreed this course of action.

Barrett has been an excellent player for Southend over 2 spells but the players like Adam Thomspon are beginning to flourish and it is their time. At this stage of his career and I believe that Barrett has more to offer as mentor to the likes of Matsuzka and if injuries necessitate play the occasional game.

There's truths, fiction and speculation all over this thread.

Let's keep to the facts. Points scored and goals conceded with and without AB in the line up. Results and points > any one individual

oh Audi TTS... pop down Boots and laces, when you are free..... all will be revealed.

I'm a regular at B&L for training. What revelation have I missed? I haven't seen any reason to believe he has been treated badly. Please help, I am looking but clearly not seeing.

Some advice from you as to what to look for would be much appreciated.

Just to confirm. At B&L today. There were 18 outfield players taking part in '1st Team Squad' training. Adam Barrett was amongst them, fully integrated, looking happy.

Still awaiting that revelation.

Hopefully the absence of the revelation is telling. Sounds like good news, if AB was part of the first team squad training today. As many have said, it would be very disappointing for his SUFC career to end badly (well, for the second time!).

If he's likely to be playing Tuesday, then he needs to be training with the others.
