Not even on the bench tonight, rumours of a falling out with Brown, what do you think?

I would imagine that both the bottom 2 options on the poll are the most realistic outcomes for AB.

As for "not on the bench tonight".... that's nothing new, he hasn't featured on the bench since the 3-0 loss to Rochdale back in early October (think that's about 7 consecutive league games now, 8 if you include the FA Cup clash with Millwall). Although i'm sure he played in the Stevenage JPT game.

Sometimes life events are far more important than football. Please do not ask for details. There really isn't anything to see here folks.

Would like to know why he isn't popular with Brown but I would expect him to play in the EFL and during congested periods. I.e Christmas.

I love AB, but I hope he has for the sake of the team; still feel he should have retired after our promotion season

Being made to train with the kids, I'd say the probability is sadly very likely. Seems the bruised Ego of our self obsessed manager will sadly win this battle.

Apalling to treat a club legend, club captain and ultimate professional in this manner yet it's ok to let Timlin run riot.

If this is true and Brown is treating AB in this matter then it is truly disgusting. He was appointed captain before the start of the season and now is completely frozen out and made to train with the youth team/reserves? A club legend who will always be beloved and remembered by the fans should not be treated like this. Shades of how Maher was treated by Tilson towards the end of his Southend career sadly.

If he's training with the kids, could it be he's helping them - he is not good enough for the first team, regardless what sort of legend he is, so why is everyone making a big deal of this.

Personally if I was a manager and my captain had said after 8 games of the season we're in a relagation fight, I would have dumped him as well!!

I disagree with this! I'm amazed people aren't making a bigger deal of it. To be dumped from captain and starting every game to the distant back of the queue is a rare thing in football, especially for a club legend. I don't think he's being treated right at all. Nor do I think he has nothing to offer. The current pairing are doing well but I would rather have Barrett on the bench than Sokolik. I fear there must be more to this than meets the eye but it all points to a sorry demise unbefitting of his status.

He's our guest at the Trust AGM on Monday night, am sure he'll be asked!

I wouldn't believe anything Barrett tells you ,not honest man after the Ron Martin meeting with pfa .when Barrett told martin he will never play for him again !. Pb fell out with white to give the captain to Barrett . Jog on Barrett .and give captain to Mr white a true captain for us
