I really don’t see how he would’ve fitted in. Same as Brunt struggled to fit into Maher’s set up.

I feel like Payne never fitted in under previous managers but could’ve done under Kev. If we played 5-2-1-2 rather than 5-3-2, that ‘1’ position would be made for him.

Baffling! Why move two of our best players that fit those positions to squeeze Gubbins in. We didn’t squeeze Lopata in when we got him back he waited his time and got the opportunity when Lomas got injured. Think he should be benched and wait until his time comes.

He looks awful and completely out of position on Saturday and sounds like he’s hardly setting the world alight again today.

He's done nothing wrong today at all but I agree, him playing at the expense of one of our best players and the best in this division for assists is mental.
