Gerrard Again

Beefy said:
Had to laugh at Gerrard getting sent off for a shocking challenge yesterday, just when his Club needed their captain the most. Absolutely disgraceful challenge which could have easily snapped the guys leg and yet Jim Beglin and the rest of the ITV sycophants tried to defend him and claim that it should have been a yellow. He's not that kind of lad, you see?

Honestly, if that cheating, diving thug had been born outside of England he'd be Public Enemy No.1.
Deserved to get sent off, but if Webb had done his job properly and blown up for Rafael's 2 footed challenge 10 seconds earlier, he wouldn't have needed to make the challenge. And as for the pen.......

Indeed. 100% red and if it was anybody else on the pitch, they'd have been as quick to string him up as they have been to defend Gerrard. The fact Webb made a howler in awarding the penalty is completely irrelevant to this decision.

He'll now miss the must-win against Blackpool on Wednesday, the Merseyside Derby on Sunday and their relegation six-pointer against Wolves the following weekend. If I was Dalglish, I'd be fuming.

All the Liverpool fans calling for King Kenny and Stevie G, the'yd have been better off with King Stephen and Kenny G
