From a good friend close to the club, Im hearing Andy Dawson will be browns first signing..
Decent Left Back with a good shot on him too, but he's 34 now! Has been club captain at Hull and wonder if Brown will do the same with him at Roots Hall

I like to see youth given a chance.
Watching some of the youths for Norwich last night the kid upfront for them was quality.
Be excellent at our level
yep think whittaker would be a great signing for us:thumbsup:Danny Whittaker? Frank Simek?
Morris or Morrison I think his name was? He looked good, quite big for a youngster, but I think it was mentioned he was only a scholar so don't think he can be signed.
Just thought a topic with players who will be free to leave their respected clubs come the summer; who may be potential (realistic) transfer targets for the mighty blues.
I'll start with a proven goalscorer at this level:
Rene Howe - Torquay
Don't understand the hype over Caleb Folan, not a fan at all and don't think he will be any good here. Craig Fagan is another one, couldn't cut it at Bury and would probably want a beefy pay cheque as he once played in the Premiership. No thanks.
Would much rather see PB raid the Conference for some decent young strikers (which they are plenty of) rather than signing 30+ deadwood that no one wants.

Most good conference strikers are out of our price range if they sell for a million like that Fleetwood guy.
That is a rare one though. A spending club with unlimited resources trying to buy from a conference club who have just been promoted by spending big. He seems to have flopped after his move too.
I do agree though, top conference talent seems to cost more than it used to.
Indeed, ridiculous money. I still think we would struggle to attract a quality conference striker though, if there are even are any.
Matt Green at Mansfield scored 25, yet they got promoted and I cant see us being able to buy a player like him
Cunnington of Tamworth scored 21 and they are near the bottom.
Then there is the player from Kidderminster, Gash. Who scores a few so maybe doesnt live up to his name
Oli Johnson, released by York and was on our radar last summer. Had injury problems though.
Remember he tore us a new one when he was at Norwich.
