When Brit goes back in a few weeks time , i'd love to finally get Paul Benson in from Swindon. He's Southend through and through , runs through brick walls for his team + can hold the ball up as well as having an excellent scoring record. Di Canio hasnt picked him for a few weeks now .... Now Benson + Eastwood up front would be perfect ... with Corr + Tomlin ( + Harris) as back up. As much as i think Elliot Benyon could be very useful , his face clearly doesnt fit so would benefit from going somewhere like Ebbsfleet on loan for a bit.

He may not score the goals but he will create many many goals for others in the team. He is quick, has close control, twists defenders inside out, closes down defences constantly.

I do think that if he had done enough in training to impress Sturrock , then I'm sure he would have played him more.
Our success as a club is Sturrocks success.
