Hope im proven wrong but see Eastwood signing as a mistake not fit not been playing ( was this not the reason we did not sign vine ?) and by all accounts at Coventry bad attitude.Before i get slated i hope i am wrong and he fires as into league 1, but benyon starting to look good and hope they can work together but then we have Harris who works his socks off for the team in my option. up the blues 3points saturday please and Freddy prove me wrong and i will be first to say well done.

Fanstastic news not had access to the Internet all day until now wow like everyone else I am excited. After Tuesdays disaster \i felt we didnt have a hope in hell but now there is real hope.

Just hope we don't expect too muchfrom Freddy. It may take him a while tofind his feet in League 2. Maybe the excitement form the Southend fans will lift him and inspire him.

Very very happy. What a lift for the club.
And be prepared for a little surprise- 100% fit not yet. Fat, no, unfit no.

It wont be just his goals (and he will score because its natural- no thinking just ball, boot, net) but sides will double up on him, panic about him, and space will appear for the likes of Hall, Benyon, Harris et al.

When Freddy used to pick the ball up midway in the opposition half the noise level dropped because you knew anything was possible even if the was no other Southend player within 50 yards.

PS is no fool - in Div 2 if you get a 28 year old international who is a proven goalscorer offered to you whose going to put another 1500-2000 on the gate and transfer the atmospher at home for the rest of the season you say 'yes plaese don't mind if I have a wee bit of that'.
 
I think that the Freddy/Bilel return may have come too late and we will miss out on the automatics but really fancy them to give us a trip to Wembley to win the play offs.

Definitely the best way to go up if you can make it happen.
