Ok, if Clunimore is reading :

1. Eastwood wont win headers.
2. Eastwood wont run after every single any "directly placed with precision aerial pass " (hoof).
3. Eastwood will control the ball and do something with it if you get it to him from the chest down. It doesnt even need to be in the last 18 yards of the pitch.

I dont expect our style of play to magically change, but if you think Eastwood is a hardworking work horse you wont get anything out of him, get it to his feet in the last 3rd anywhere and he has the ability to do something.

Edited for accuracy

Lets not forget Freddy began to get the sulks here towards the end of his time at Roots Hall.

How many players were happy getting beaten and relegated?

He still scored 16 goals that season, a decent return in such a poor side.

Everyone needs to put the past few months and years behind us and get roots hall absolutely rocking. That includes you paul sturrock and the senior players! Let's have a moshni/eastwood forward line please

At the end of the day we are going ecstatic over his name. that means nothing so hopefully our support will rocket him to some goals or otherwise this adulation before hes even kicked a ball will be in vein.

With six meetings lined up it was gonna be a long day. Alarm goes at 5.50 am. Bollks. Stumble down stairs, Shrimper looks up, it's too early for his morning pee so he nods off again. Kids scoffed all the breakfast cereal and no milk left anyway, toaster cremates the bread and downstairs fire alarm wakes up the rest of household who grumble a tad. Avoid Mrs SS as a result, quick shower, throw on the whistle and out to feed the cats in the garage (banned from the house, too much wildlife carnage debris), just one half eaten pidgeon and a limping frog have to be avoided on the floor as I dish out the whiskas.

A quick drive and I am at Ipshite station, greeted by a ticket clerk who proudly announces that signal probs are ahead. No option but to jump on the commuter crawler. Over two hours later and an hour late we get to Liverpool Street. Have already missed my first meeting (he wasn't happy, he'd got up early especially) and was late for my second. The rest of the day just fell in to chaos, trying to make up lost time, other meetings over-running, unexpected stuff kicking off 'cause of the Chancellor's budget shambles the day before, and little got properly achieved. Come 5.00 I was ready for a beer, rang a couple of mates, neither could make it, so cut my losses and made it back to Liverpool Street. Just got on the 5.30, it was rammed, and after chugging out towards Stratford the conductor blurted out something about signal problems. Deep joy.

Then the phone started ringing. What a ****in great day.

Woo hoo. UTB

Yeah I agree to a point but I think Smiffy posted he'd never been so excited since Webb's upteenth return in 2000. the messiah returns, the god returns and all that. And what happened Webb in that spell was no where near as successful as before and Little can count hinmself hard done by to be honest. They say never go back to the same place twice. I'm genuinly pleased he is back and lets welcome him back with open arms but I just think the over indulgence in adulation goes to far. Let it pour out the more he's proving himself well but at the mo he's not kicked a ball.

DWB exactly my point. give the man space to breath and not smother him. Partly a reason Bilel suffocated amongst other things.
