First impressions of Leon Chambers-Parillon

To be fair you could take a statement like that various ways. If the players are under instructions to use their brains and don't pump an early cross in when there's no one in the box to get on the end of it (which I've seen happen numerous times) then he's 100% right, and it probably has led to us pointlessly losing possession. But I'm sorry I just don't believe any manager at any level of the game would tell the players not to cross the ball in an attacking position if it makes sense to do so.

Well I think Kev’s comments regarding players taking a extra touch in the box after the Maidenhead game might be a good indicator 😉

I must say I have no idea how good he is. But could he be the difference between us drawing games and loosing. If so should he start. Been posting for many years but not a lot reasantly. If he can be the answer to our scoring problem.

I absolutely love him. He looked sheer class when he came on. LCP and Morton could form a really exciting partnership. I think they’re both incredibly technically gifted at this level. Get Miley back to fitness and form and play him behind those two as a DM and I genuinely think you’ve got a midfield as good as any in this league.

So no 3 up top?

Personally I’d either go 3-4-3 with Morton and LCP as the central mids, or go 4-3-3. But the former seems more likely with Kev.

If Ralph played left back in a 4-3-3 and didn’t get forward like Gus does on the right, it would play like a 3 at the back anyway, but would give us another man in midfield.

He got everyone off their seats in the West on Saturday afternoon. Watching the highlights, he looks a class above. Wow, what a prospect!

He looks like the sort of player that will just grab the game by the scruff of the neck and change things, a real game winner. Been a long time since we've had someone like that

I'd certainly start with him tomorrow night. He'll probably be OK for the full 90 given he is described as a box-to-box player. In any case, the step up from lower leagues didn't seem to hinder Sittingbourne or Southport.
