First impressions of Leon Chambers-Parillon

This really is such utter delusional tripe it really is. He was brought precisely because he brings this. And please name the person who has told you that these instructions exist- it really is time to get to the bottom of some of this utter nonsense ( please don’t tell me it was one of the stewards…)
Wrong,it was the bloke in the west stand flipping burgers mum.

I do worry that the ‘tactical training’ Maher mentioned in his interview after the game that LCP needs will take the flair out of his game. Maher is safety first. Moncur started running at teams and shooting and after a few weeks training with us and it stopped. Let’s hope that doesn’t happen again.

Maher did say that one of the reasons he signed LCP was because of his ability to carry the ball through midfield so I doubt he will want to coach that out of him.

Moncur does seem to run at bit when he first joins a club on loan, but after a while he resorts to just passing back to where it came from because he can't be asked to run around 🤔

I’m not suggesting he tells them to pass backwards or not to shoot, just that he may instruct them to make sure we’re safe, covering ourselves before this happens and that can slow down and nullify the play.

At times I found us extremely slow in the build up and LCP was a breath of fresh air.

No..

Trust me these people exist…
Much like to doom and gloom merchants on the match thread before kick off.

When, not if, Kev and the crew get us promoted it would be perfect timing to stick the middle finger up to such fans and get financial reward in a higher division even when sacked after a few months, which seems to be the norm.

As managers go in my 50 plus years as a fan he’s firmly in the top three behind Webby and Tilly.

I’ve only seen sustained ‘entertaining football’ three times in that period. The first double promotion under Webb (both seasons) The title winning season under Tilly and the games under Fry. Entertainment doesn’t necessarily equal success apart from such exceptions.

That’s from a player 😉 Bonnes excellent cross which resulted in a OG was due to us being 1 down with 10 to go 🤔
To be fair you could take a statement like that various ways. If the players are under instructions to use their brains and don't pump an early cross in when there's no one in the box to get on the end of it (which I've seen happen numerous times) then he's 100% right, and it probably has led to us pointlessly losing possession. But I'm sorry I just don't believe any manager at any level of the game would tell the players not to cross the ball in an attacking position if it makes sense to do so.

But those three entertaining eras were all successful

The less ‘entertaining’ ones were luggy and brown ?

Back on topic, where do we see Parillon's best position? in the "hole" in a five man midfield off either a striker (or two) ? Could he even play on either flank?!? Personally I believe a good player can play anywhere if they have the technique and footballing intelligence.
