Films you've watched recently.

The Little Prince - Truly beautiful and moving French (dubbed) animation. As good as any Pixar, including the very best. Catch it if you can. 10/10

Bridge of Spies.Excellent spy thriller.Mark Rylance must be a cert for (at least) a nomination for best supporting actor.Tom Hanks was good too.

Absolutely Anything - Simon Pegg doing what he does best, acting in the absurd. A group of eccentric aliens confer a human being with the power to do absolutely anything, as an experiment. A chunk of big names supporting him and the Pythons doing voice overs, Robin Williams as a talking dog - just another normal Pegg film. I laughed my socks off at some of the gags. 7/10

The trailer for the new Ninja Turtles movie dropped today, and I have to say I'm genuinely excited for it. Bebop and Rocksteady look amazing.

X-Men Apocalypse trailer is out tomorrow as well so that should be fun to watch.

How are you going to fit this all in with your new found employed state? Mind you MK manages it on here.:smiles:

Edge of Tomorrow - thought at first it was a take on his Scientology bollocks but thoroughly enjoyed by the end.
Tom Cruise has a uncanny knack of making rubbish films very watchable IMO.

It's an excellent film - the Cruisemeister is excellent, but actually it wasn't rubbish- it was very thoughtful.

Star Wars : The Force Awakens.
By some weird twist of fate one of the big cinemas started showing it tonight here and not tomorrow.

Saw pubeys thread so I'll start by putting the score here
  Spoiler:
8.5/10

Just brief comments with no plot spoliers
  Spoiler:
Totally loved it. After the prequel trilogy I was cautious but JJ Abrams has addressed the things that bogged those 3 films down, mainly wooden characters going through the motions in front of a green screen for two hours. The banter and snappy dialogue between characters is back and the use of realistic locations makes a huge difference to the feel of the movie. The ending shot is superb, roll on Episode eight.
