Films you've watched recently.

The London Film Festival has hit town!
Ms Baldy and I went to The Royal Festival Hall to see the new Mike Leigh film "Hard Truths"

We were packed in like Sardines, the toilets were questionable and the film was awful and to add insult to injury there was a Q and A!!

Love a bit of a scary film binge in the run-up to Halloween.

I've just watched the first two Terrifier movies.

A must watch if you like a bit of over the top, graphic, gratuitous gore!

Going to see it on Tuesday night, along with Smile 2.

Oh yeah, agreed. First one was VERY low budget, with some pretty poor acting in places, and zero character development. Second one fixed those issues for the most part. Still quite liked the first though, as an introduction to the character, etc.

What's the app you're using there?
Letterboxd. It’s great for filing films and adding watch lists etc. I’m on there as prnapper

Watched this gem of a film at the flicks this evening. An excellent meditation about loneliness set against the oppressive backdrop of Iran (but it's a lot more entertaining and not as heavy as I just made it sound).

Go back in time to 1960.....Norman Bates "Psycho"----No bloodbath seen in this great classic Hitchcock---It's not what you see, It's what you don't see----"Psycho" was based around murderer Ed Gein.

Psycho was great but it’s a bit dated now.

Don’t get me wrong Psycho is in my top 20 films of all time. But it wouldn’t work today for various reasons.
It's nit surprising that a 64 year old film is dated. Can't think of many films of the time that aren't, but what do you mean by 'it wouldn’t work today for various reasons'? Do you mean plot?
