Films you've watched recently.

Saw The Verdict again on DVD the other night,This is the old Sidney Lumet film, starring Paul Newman,James Mason and Charlotte Rampling.

Will be interested to see what the Palace theatre do with this when they put on a stage version next April.

I think it's in safe hands with Jim Davidson and Roy Chubby Brown.

Snoopy & Charlie Brown: The Peanuts Movie. I wasn't sure about the 3D style animation in the trailers but it works well and hits all the nostalgia points. 7.5/10

Pride + Prejudice + Zombies. Mad as a bag of cats. 6.5/10

Now You See Me 2 - 8/10 - I only watched the first one a couple of weeks back and loved it. Thoroughly enjoyed the 2nd full of action and far fetched tricks. The only downfall in my eyes was Daniel Radcliffe was in it, stick to Harry Potter mate.

ONE MAN ARMY 6/10 crazy crazy stuff which is confirmed at the end thus helping to prove that Americans should not be allowed to travel out of the mighty u s of a.
WAR DOGS 5/10 if you have seen the trailer then you have seen the film.

Suicide Squad - 8/10 - Really enjoyed it and a better effort from DC. The Batman vs Superman and Man of Steel were terrible so it was good to finally have a decent film since The Dark Knight Rises. Will Smith is excellent as Deadshot and Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn was brilliant and great to look at. I can only assume this film will lead into the justice league films. They just need to sort out Batman as Ben Affleck is poor and nothing on Bale!

Lagaan.

Indian film about a group of villagers who take on the evil British empire to play a game of cricket.

Too long, too clichéd and too much singing and dancing.

5/10

One of the very few Bollywood films I've seen (and I was with a relationship with a Sikh girl for 10 years who loved them). I quite enjoyed that one - you want cliche, watch one of the ones from the 1970s.....they are awful.
