FC - Week 5

Cold Rod to the rescue!

End of Over 22 (11 runs).
ShrimperZone CC: 120-4, runrate=5.45
Trail by 96 runs. (Every_one_a_Wrongun*216-10)
Jones 5-0-32-0
Curtis* 53 (39 balls)Maymann 28 (40 balls)
Last Wicket: Sajjad c. Cowan b. Austin 7 (FOW: 31/4)

YB, both set to normal as didn't feel the need to go too attacking on a green top. They'll certainly be attacking in the second innings!

Attack, attack, attack! Especially on a green pitch if they are better than the batsmen they are up against.

Finished 332-5.

Finnan* 74 (115 balls)
Ramsden 51 (124 balls)

Ramsden was set very attacking! But still not bad for a proficient.

Batting practice needed at General Stars. That 3rd wicket partnership from Mrs BB has killed me!

All out for 68.

20 wickets today!

Im 3-0 (1 over) in the 2nd innings!

Kev

Crazy days play. First 75 over were dull as hell, overs 76 to 94 saw 10 wickets and then Cold Rod and Skip hit a 119 partnership in 16 overs! Not counting any chickens as their main bowlers will no doubt be back in the morning however after being 31/4 I can have no complaints!

End of Over 25 (12 runs). ShrimperZone CC: 150-4, runrate=6.00
Trail by 66 runs. (Every_one_a_Wrongun 216-10)
Garrity 9-1-64-0
Maymann* 49 (50 balls)
Curtis 62 (47 balls)

Last Wicket: Sajjad c. Cowan b. Austin 7 (FOW: 31/4)

Hoping we can add another 100 tomorrow and then let the bowlers be a bit more aggressive.

All out for 247, oppo 7-0.

Kev, I think Mohammed is going to be a bit too much for your guys, but we shall see....

Yay. It may be against bottom of the league no hopers but I almost won it within a day so that is one of my two victories this season 7th place and autorelegation secured nicely ! Cannot remember if I was at home or not but if so I will forego one days lost income.

Lovely knock from Captain Gerbil... should hopefully knock up his Woeful Experiance to go with his superb leadership!

The players are off the field for the change of innings.

Evans 32 (94 balls)

Last Wicket: Josefa b. Mapes 3 (FOW: 80/3)

Couple of early wickets for the skipper, if we can get rid of these 2 fairly quickly, we could end up with a bit of a lead.

Oh that's magnificent! Cat-like reactions from first slip to take that catch. They'll be replaying that one a few times in the studio.

Oh my word, now that is special; pitched up on middle and leg and Sheppard takes half a step to meet it and just flicks it over square leg for six of the best. Pure timing, pure class, pure Sheppard.
