FC - Week 4

Took our time getting them but that's not a bad thing I guess. Now to see if we can bat for 5 sessions.

End of Over 55 (Maiden). Gods of Chaos: 86-10, runrate=1.56
Mushtaq 11-3-29-4
Matthews* 0 (1 balls)

Nick on the other hand is potentially racing to a single day win. Believe he has the declaration set at 361 as his fitness is shot so is keen to get it over with in one day. I'm trying to convince him otherwise for gate receipts purposes (with a hidden agenda that I'm playing his opponents on Friday!!).

End of Over 19 (15 runs, 2lb). Whos your Daddy: 150-0, runrate=7.89
Lead by 99 runs. (Cat-I'th-Well 51-10)
Solomon 10-0-83-0
Field* 82 (54 balls)
Oconnor 64 (60 balls)

Field on his way to a 5th successive century since joining!

Just taken second wicket - at 373 for 2 i wonder if he has set a figure of 400 - if so this could be over by tea :D if not I guess he will declare overnight

End of Over 59 (2 runs). Napster's XI: 217-4, runrate=3.68
Stannage 12-3-26-0
Back* 8 (20 balls)
Burke 0 (1 balls)

Last Wicket: Murray Run Out 95 (FOW: 217/4)

Murray's gone. Not many batsmen left now. Might get to 300. Should have picked my spinners

:(

Saj continues his wretched FC form, moved him up to opener and set him attacking but no joy. May have to drift him down to 7 or 8 instead.

Two of my longest serving players now at the crease.

End of Over 5 (5 runs). ShrimperZone CC: 33-1, runrate=6.60
Trail by 53 runs. (Gods of Chaos 86-10)

Last Wicket: Tekere st. Thackeray b. Candlish 205 (FOW: 443/1)

There batting line up is wierd... i'd expect to get rid of there top 3 for less than 10 a piece... but there next three have all never played a game... but all have BTR of 10k+ ... we shall see what happens!

Lost Curle to the 1st ball after tea, so won't get anywhere near 500, but should have enough to get maximum batting points

hmmm, here's one for you...

My Bowlers fitness levels are lower than my batsman (well they were at start of game)... if i bowl this lot out fairly cheaply first thing tomorow... am i best off making them follow on... or is it worth putting my batsmen in for 120 runs to give my bowlers a quick rest... but hopefully i'd still have time to skittle them tomoorow..

do you think that 120 run break for the bowlers would make any difference to there fitness level?

I doubt it would make much difference, I would just make them follow on (assuming you don't bowl them out tonight!).

Skip & Cold Rod building a total, if they stay in till tomorrow I may be tempted to drag the game out a bit tomorrow to try for that 3rd day. Can always set it so the crap bowlers take the overs tomorrow then finish them first thing Thursday. Hmmmm.....

End of Over 32 (5 runs). ShrimperZone CC: 168-3, runrate=5.25

I've had the commentary repetition bug today, cost Rennie his wicket on 88 and Thay his on 81 :( Is it a confirmed bug?

End of Over 88 (3 runs). Southend: 453-9, runrate=5.15
Vincent 31-3-169-3
Garcia* 131 (143 balls)
Deakin 31 (65 balls)
Last Wicket: Jeffers lbw b. Brittain 12 (FOW: 371/9)

Batting on forever, as they're crap and I'm at home. Will not enforce follow-on either as gate receipts are vital, as only 4-5 first teamers are playing.

End of Over 91 (2 runs). Napster's XI: 314-4, runrate=3.45
Wright-phillips 18-1-66-1
Burke* 50 (96 balls)
Back 50 (121 balls)

Last Wicket: Murray Run Out 95 (FOW: 217/4)

90.6 . Wright-phillips to Back
Fullish, straight ball, shuffles forward and eased firmly towards mid off.
90.5 . Wright-phillips to Back
Back struggled to keep that one off the stumps.
90.4 . Wright-phillips to Back
Back edges one outside off stump and Farrow dives and appears to take an excellent low catch. Back stands his ground though. Did it carry? The umpires consult. Not Out! Farrow can't believe it.
90.3 1 Wright-phillips to Burke
Lift, on the toes, pushed down to the deep point region. Morne doing the fielding.
And that's his fifty! Well played.
90.2 . Wright-phillips to Burke
Well forward, square leg quick to field the ball.
90.1 1 Wright-phillips to Back
Solid stroke to long off, Dolan doing the fielding.
And that's his fifty! Well played.

Might manage to bowl them out tonight me thinks!

End of Over 19 (1 runs). Come on you Wolves: 36-5, runrate=1.89
Trail by 417 runs. (N-Trance shire 453-1)
Bhutia 3-1-4-1
