Mcphee* 17 (17 balls)
Durkin 28 (37 balls)

Batting didn't go to plan, losing 3 wickets early on!

wtf, this aint going to plan!

Last Wicket: Heinrich lbw b. James 75 (FOW: 271/6)

Going to have a go at getting Fettis tomorrow, can probably spare a bowling and fielding net for him. Would make a nice No. 10 batsman!!

Fettis would be my number 7 :( He'd be a good signing though, as the field will help his conc too. How much you gonna go up to?

Not sure yet. Don't worry, he won't be my 10th best bat by any stretch!! That's just where he'll likely play.

The weather has not suited me so far, with bowler-friendly conditions for my 1st innings, however we've got through tonight just 1 down, meaning 214 are needed tomorrow in sunny conditions. Quite confident.

Think B should look at Mat Pearson,

RH Batsman, RFM Bowler, superb batting form, respectable bowling form, lively fitness.
A defensive player with respectable leadership skills and competent experience.

Plays For: East Coast Bruddas
Nationality: Australia
Age: 22 Years Old
Battrick Rating: 148,433
Wages: £66,151 p/w

Stamina: superb Wicket Keeping: worthless
Batting: worthless Concentration: competent
Bowling: masterful Consistency: miraculous
Fielding: wonderful

I reckon B will be the next SZer to reach the top division, especially if he signs the player above!

Alas way out of my price range unless I sacrifice yet another batsman (which I really can't afford to do as I only have three decent ones left who aren't all rounders!!!).

This has just appeared though which could be of interest:

Hayden Jenkins (1058762)
RH Batsman, RFM Bowler, superb batting form, superb bowling form, sublime fitness.
A defensive player with proficient leadership skills and competent experience.

Plays For: bellissimo cc
Nationality: Australia
Age: 21 Years Old
Battrick Rating: 77,174
Wages: £30,649 p/w

Stamina: proficient Wicket Keeping: worthless
Batting: abysmal Concentration: woeful
Bowling: sensational Consistency: sensational
Fielding: mediocre

Looking odds on for a defeat here. I managed to bat through 82 overs yesterday. I'm guessing my opps will declare overnight and just hope a couple more players stick around as 5th placed team look like they will get a draw and pip me for 4th. I'm playing them next week and should win but my all rounder, despite being rested since the end of the first half of the season is still only invigorated. Bugger ! I may not need him to bowl next week though so I'll pick as a bat only and see how things are at close of play each day.

End of Over 205 (5 runs). BATTY SHRIMPERS: 1099-9, runrate=5.36
Lead by 1088 runs. (Six Stars 11-10)
Stansfield 47-4-219-5
Middleton* 345 (274 balls)
Prasad 15 (39 balls)

Last Wicket: Singh b. Jacobs 17 (FOW: 1032/9)

Obviously going to declare now. Del-Boy won't bowl after his marathon knock.

Lost by an innings and 35 runs. Shame we had the 1st inns collapse because we put up a fight second inns. Jeffers got a nice century. We need a batsman, but with only 500k, we'll have to wait.

won by an innings yesterday after bowling them out for 21 in their second innings, Jonesy taking 8-5.

I have spent my dough. Fettis arrives with 3 weeks bowling training behind him (helps when you know the selling manager!) so will be trained on to sensational. Also handy that he was listed whilst at superb consistency but popped to quality on Monday.

Means Plums is now my weakest bowler (and he should pop to exceptional in the next two weeks).

Should be done by lunchtime

BATTY SHRIMPERS v Six Stars

Six Stars won the toss and elected to bat.
Pitch: Green

End of Over 3 (Maiden). Six Stars: 6-2, runrate=2.00 (1st Inn: 11-10)
Trail by 1082 runs. (BATTY SHRIMPERS 1099-9 dec)
Singh 2-1-4-1
Mpho* 1 (1 balls)
Giggs 0 (0 balls)

Last Wicket: Mcgowan lbw b. Singh 5 (FOW: 6/2)

What's the best position to hide a weak bowler in OD? 3rd on default orders? Need to hide a strong/respectable spinner tomorrow.

I've been playing my random spaz at 3 on normal all season in the cup and it's served me well.

Toddy - I'm now brassic!
