Believe me, the contrast between east and west, and I don't mean our stands, lol, was black and white.

Southend United does have something in common with the Berlin Wall; both came down in 1989.

I dont think having the away fans in the corner and home fans in the other half of the North will work that well. I can't see many relocating.

I still think the best idea is to move 'The Blue Voice' to all of X Block and use the NW corner and that part of the North Bank when we get bigger crowds.

Of course one day I think the plan is to rebuild the North Bank before the East Sand. Then having the North as a dedicated home end will probably work.

Last I heard there were no plans to rebuild the west - just improve the area behind the stand for food/drink

Second time I’ve bought a burger from the new place at the NW corner. Again, decent .. and nice friendly service. Queue went down very quickly too.

Looks good. Get them in the East and I might actually buy some food for the first time in donkeys years. Unfortunately we still had the old burgers that smell like stale farts in the East Black/Green section today.

Was nice to not be overcrowded in W block, it was sold out and opening up X block certainly relieved any crush. Just the odd one or two that came into the block to stand with mates, that i can live with.
