I wish Orient were the most infirm team in the country but I guessing they are more likely to be in-form. Bottom line, we are not going to win the FA cup, and whilst a run in it would be great, the league is the priority and the squad is just not big enough to cope with too many competitive games. The money made now from a local derby would also be very useful in our current financial state. If Colchester had not lost (hurray) I would have wanted them in the next round.

I agree with you, however, a win in the second round and then a big prem side away would be massive financially. Remember in recent history we have played spurs and Chelsea away in the cup in front of capacity crowds. So yes a local derby would be great and personally I feel we could take Col utd and then who knows.

Could not disagree more . Off course we are not going to win the FA cup but winning the next game brings us more money and the chance of a plum away day which could (financially) make us . Can you imagine if we lost i the second round and our opponents go Man United away . If this was to happen would you honestly be saying 'glad its not us , we could do without the extra game'.

ps plus the media frenzy if we got Man U or Liverpool, with our history, Man U would crap themselves if they had to come to Roots Hall again :winking:

Not sure what you are disagreeing with. All I have said is that I would like Orient in the next round, beating them 1-0. If we do that we get the chance of a prem side.

Went to Orient today with a Southport supporting mate. Wouldn't like to draw them. They were **** for at least half the match, could have easily lost but they were very lucky - Southport had three men stretchered off and everything they hit went in, when your luck is in, it's in and theirs has been in all season. That's just football, everything is going their way at the moment.

Have not stopped smiling since the game ended, just thinking about the boasting Morcambe fans who sang "we would never beat the Morecambe" when they turned us over at the Hall earlier this season, and who must have thought their place was booked in the 2nd round, and only had to turn up and gloat again :hilarious::hilarious::hilarious::hilarious:
