f k off kevin maher times up

Maher should learn to shut his mouth! but hey this bloke Maher can do what he likes because after all.... HE CAN NEVER EVER LOSE HIS PLACE IN THE SIDE!!.... even if he had an all night gang bang session with Peter Taylors daughter including Paynter and lets throw Sodje into the mixer too!

How about Foran too? ;)

sorry who makes the rules on whats acceptable and whats not with our players, I love these people who come on here, and "you do not have the right" sorry matey I do, and no one can take that away from me

football is an entertainement business and I pay for that, if i dont getthat I am entitled to my opinion

i do my job well at work. makin spectacles for pandas, if i didnt you would soon have a angry tribe of pandas at my door

I thought the collective noun for a group of panda's was a pandamonium.:p

I've never rated Maher, I think he's crap. Can't tackle very well, can't take corners, can't take free kicks, can't shoot, slow as ****. The fact he's been around for so long is testament to the fact that no-one wants him. If he was so good why has he never been called up to the Irish team when they've had such a dearth of midfield talent in the last five years? Simple answer, because he's awful.

To a point agree with some of this. especially the corners bit.

At Lincoln a few years back he had a pop at Shrimptank when we were losing 2-0. Funny thing was we then scored.

It does amaze me that when he's not played we win, Hull 3-0 was a great example a few years back and next game he gets straight back in the team.

Maybe not going along with the recent posts in this thread, but I think The Goat got it right oin his book when he said Maher 'plays well within himself'.

I dont believe that for a second he'd do that.

Someone's telling porkies.

Firstly, may I say I am actually a fan of Maher. I agree totally with Dave the Shrimper's thread, but some people are missing a couple of important points here, mainly because they don't realise.
The fact is Kevin's Dad was down the front, and I believe Kevin was a bit worried there would be issues with his Dad.
I was one of the last to leave and went to the toilets, and as I was leaving them I couldn't believe what I saw. Kevin DID actually head out of the dressing room, still in kit, looking to pick out this fella that was giving him abuse. We had a short conversation, in which he told me his concerns about his Dad (which is fair enough to a point). I didn't really know what to say, but I wanted him to know that not all of us share the same opinion of him as the fella in question. Needless to say Kev was very upset.
What annoyed me was that after a last minute defeat like that, why isn't he in the dressing room getting talked at with the rest of the players? Instead he sauntered out, flanked by Scrivs, frankly showing quite a bit of unprofessionalism. I'm not sure what Kev thought he was going to achieve?
I am still a big fan of Maher, but I think he should have thought about what he was doing first.
All probably isn't well in the dressing room I guess. And whoever it was that gave Maher that abuse, they've gone quite a long way to making Kev feel unwanted. Not having a go at anyone really, just stating what I seem to see as fact.

What??? I would wager we have won more games pro rata with Maher in the team than not.

Maher does not loose his place as he is simply the best player in his position that we have.

Tilly has shown himself time and time again to cut players who could not do it anymore and yet every manager for the best part of ten years has picked Maher week in week out.

If anyone thinks Maher is the problem I personally think they are deluded.

Am I the only person who thinks its a good think Maher lost his rag ?

Im glad he showed passion and stood up for the team in light of what may have been over harsh criticism.

Saturday was a bad result but from the radio commentary it seemed like whilst we werent creating lots of chances were the better team for most of the game.

Whilst we threw it away late on that doesnt erase the rest of the game where we played well.

Maher gets the abuse that he does because he is captain if you ask me Dave. He's an easy target right now. I'm not sure it's jusitified at all, but I also think it is fair to say too he is not playing his best football so far this season.
But that doesn't excuse Saturday, and whatever/whoever is right or wrong about all that, the truth of the matter is it's not at all going to help us getting results in the near future, which is exactly what we need.

Jam Man, no you aren't the only one that thinks it might have been a good thing.

It does show passion and as a captain, he was taking the responsibility for his team's performance by defending it. Yes, you can end up getting into trouble for doing so, but that doesn't change the fact that the criticism was, in my opinion, over harsh for the circumstances.

That probably isn't a bad shout, people on here burble on about passion, but when a player shows he cares he is greeted with a salvo of abuse. Ho hum, it's a funny old world.

I don't have a problem with him showing passion with it, but I thought the manner in which he did it could have been very different.
We do pay help pay his wages after all, and when I went up to him to almost exclusively tell him that is not how we all think, the air was blue. And that wasn't my fault.
Just not very professional that's all.
Hopefully he will do his talking on the pitch. That's the best place for it.

If I was getting personal abuse like that I know my old man would step in. He was protecting his old man - nothing wrong in that at all. I don't blame him for reacting normally to a bang out of order situation.

So you over react to a bit of stick from the crowd, funny isnt that
people paying £23 or so have a right to a say. If you cannot take it then f..k
off, your overated, and seemingly undroppable

as to try and offer someone out, after the game, bring it in on

its shame the person didnt wait for you, as I would love to have seen you go down!!

if your hanging on for your testimonial shame on you, you not bringing anything to the game, and quite frankly bailey is a better player than you

so do us all a favour and go
:guns:

Shocking post.
