Essex Cricket 2013

Whislt England are collapsing in the test, up pops Ravi Bopara to remind them what they are missing. Follows up his first innings hundred by bagging the Glamorgan opener.

I was amazed that he was called up for the Champions Trophy given his recent poor form. Thought we were going to get a full season out of him.

We've lost the advantage........Glamorgan 371-7 this morning. Remains to be seen whether they will have the balls to make as sporting a declaration (if they're not bowled out), as we did against Lancs. Just over 250 ahead at the moment.

Tom Westley and Jaik Mickleburgh's opening stand of 143 helped Essex chase down a target of 275 with just seven balls to spare against Glamorgan.Westley (88) and Mickleburgh (66) gave Essex the ideal start and Mark Pettini (47no) saw them home on 275-5.
Earlier, an excellent 101 by Glamorgan captain Mark Wallace and 55 from Graham Wagg helped the Welsh county to 388.

Rtd and Craddock in for Smith and Phillips

Huzzah! RtD is back and no more Greg Smith. Let's hope we can thrash K*nt.

Does this mean IPL is over? When do we get Shah back?

Still no Mills, Chambers or Mahmood. That's two England Lions and a full England international. That money spent on Mahmood was clearly money well spent.

.
Smith has a hip injury, and could be out for a little while

IPL finishes this week I think. Not sure if Owais' team are still left in it.

I cannot stand Darren Stevens.

Obviously as he didn't take 5-14 yesterday he will score 150 today. *******.
