Actually I don't begrudge Pettini his place these days. He's been fairly consistent for us the last year or two. He's not the greatest but he's been stubborn and obdurate and I think there's a place for that. What I don't get is why he's been batting below Bopara (and Shah when he's also available) when your shotmakers could do with the top order taking the shine off the ball once in a while.

I wonder if someone like Westley would benefit from swapping places with Pettini?

What annoys me is how players are chopped and changed. Foakes had what? Two matches at 3, one at 5 or 6 and then dropped. Micklebrugh comes in and how many games will he last? Mills had how many games?
 
Napes is on fire this season! Decent start to the second innings, 31-0. Back to back wins? Surely not.....
