Essex CCC 2019

Building a nice lead and set up for harmer to do some damage in their second innings

Pitch is only two days old but humid overcast conditions are what seamers go to bed dreaming about - and we’ve got some bloody good ones!
I’d like another 50 to our total. Somerset are very dangerous side and as it stands they will fancy chasing anything under 300.Going to be a fantastic day of county cricket tomorrow, can’t wait.
How anyone finds cricket boring is simply beyond me.

Yeah I love all forms but county cricket is my favourite.Hoping to be there for last session.Rain first thing but shouldn't hold things up too much

Somerset need 269 to win. The match is on live at essexcricket.org.uk. Can someone tell me why? Surely they lose much needed revenue if you can watch their matches from your home.

I think it's a great initiative that will make people feel closer to the team and therefore more likely to pay to attend games in the future.

Those who are willing and able to go will continue to go. It's still a vastly superior experience watching live than streamed (it's less clear cut with international cricket with more cameras and extortionate ticket prices).

Most of the people at county games are members who pre pay like a football season ticket. Cricket earns its money from the limited overs game really. There are about 6000 members who are dotted all over the place so the streaming is handy for them too

Oh I'd definitely become a member when I retire, great value for money if you can get to the games. Only 30 years to go haha
I have flexible working hours so I can make about 8 visits per season.Once I get my 20 20 discount membership stands me in at about £100 so it's good value.Warwickshire game switched to chelmsford Saturday 13th July so chance to get weekend in of cricket
