Essex CCC 2019

We looked very good end of last season with Murali Vijay so got to wonder whether we'll get another overseas batsman at some point

If your near namesake Aaron’s progress continues than an overseas bowler will fall down our list of priorities plus we’ll need someone to replace RtD eventually - I wonder how much longer he’ll continue on for? A pretty good 39th birthday today though for him with that team performance.

Unfortunately Chopra only made 5 today for Sussex. We need him to get some time in the middle before the T20s.

Decent day for Essex. If we can get a 50 or so lead with our bowling attack we will be confident

Funny thing, our bowlers are second worse in the league for points gained 18 pts only Notts have a worse return on 16

Our batsmen joint third on 13 with a gaggle of other teams, I know rain affected matches throw out the stats, but shows our batsmen are not that bad compared to the league

Need Hampshire to bat all day to day v Zummerset and a bit more if possible

Chopra going very disappointed on reading that, but will give him crease time, very impressed when watching him at Chelmsford

a lot of cricket to be played before the end of the season but could be tempted by a trip to Somerset for the last game of the season if it's a title decider.
