Our batting looks really strong. The batting averages of the top 7 are above the relative batting averages of all the opponents so far.

Meanwhile, Leicestershire are well on top against Sussex. Mark Pettini 142 not out.

Really pleased for Pettini, top bloke! Played on his team for our company cricket match over at the county ground last year and he was a great laugh and enjoyed a good few beers with us. Coincidently it's the Amlin game again today and a lovely day for it too, looking forward to it.

Great lad Aaron, was talking to him last Wednesday and he was so excited that he was starting against SL. Plays at Chelmsford with a few of my mates, he was very well supported yesterday!

I read up a little about him and he was the lad who ended up fielding for England in a friendly match when he was 15.

I remember it happening, but didn't realize it was him.
