Brown must be distraught not being able to name Anton for the next few games, probably will appeal the Red card!

Good! Hes our star centre back !! Just had an off day can happen to the best players in the world! Will have a 3 match suspension now so will come back refreshed and ready to go! Will do him the world of good.

We competed in the first half and 1-1 wasn't an unfair score line. I don't think Doncaster could have complained if we had gone in 1-0 up as their goal was offside, but there you go. Not a lot of point offering much in the way of second half observation. We went from competing to not competing and got what we deserved, absolutely **** all! Anton will now have the rest he so richly deserves so lets hope that Kyprianou's injury isn't a long term thing. If he's ok then him and White for the next game at CB. No doubt Mr Brown will have seen what we need to do to recover, and knowing Southend we will go out in the next game and give Wigan a damn good thrashing. When we are at our most dire in one game we often then produce the business in the next. That's what SUFC is all about. I am currently wondering whether my 6 euros was money well spent today.

I thought a 3 match ban was only for violent conduct.

Been trying to hone up a bit on this and I'm none the wiser, in truth 'Rob'.

There doesn't seem to be a definitive list of offence/ban.

I thought all straight reds were 3 games, but it might not be the case for dissent.

I turned BBC Essex off, so has there been any update since the final whistle from them?

Match report: Doncaster Rovers 4, Southend United 1

SOUTHEND United conceded four goals in just 11 minutes to suffer a depressing and disappointing 4-1 defeat at Doncaster Rovers this afternoon.

Phil Brown quote
To go a goal up and lose 4 -1 stinks of something wrong in the changing room, and I've got to get to the bottom of it.

Have a look in the mirror you Orange mug. Please go. Thanks x x x x

Ferdinand will he get a one match ban or 3 Cant the FA top that up 1 and 3 makes 4 Even that's not enough Barrett was to slow but even he was faster the Ferdinand .

Fair play to Donnie - they seem to have come out with a plan to nullify us. Having said that I thought we were poor. Not just for chunks of time but for the whole match.

How we managed to score is still a bit of a mystery (it was at the other end and the large T.V. screen didn't really help unless you were interested in lost dogs).

Let's call a spade a spade - almost the whole team were off colour today but some players in particular including Wright did not have a good game today. He looked lost without Demi behind/alongside/in front of him and it was his mistake that saw the ball in our net 3 seconds later. McLaughlin was shocking as well - in fact the whole midfield was non existent for much of the match.

And what does happen at half-time? Is there something in the tea? Are the orange segments spiked?

Elvis was my Man of the Match - a very creditable performance.

A very very disappointing trip to South Yorkshire and another heavy defeat.

Who's up next? Oh yes Wigan. I remember the last game there very clearly.
