Demise of the NoTW

Funny, I watched it as well, and he didn't refer to tabloids, but the press in general.

That maybe your impression but its certainly not mine.He mentioned a specific problem he'd had with the Sun and R.Brooks and stated that "other" newspapers were definitly involved in phone hacking, including the Mirror. He didn't mention any broadsheets,as such, by name.

The implication I got from the article was it was from ALL the main written news media, tabloids or broadsheets. And besides which and to go back to a previous point how did Assange and Wikileaks come by their information. The Guardian seemed very keen on publishing that most of which I would say came by illegal or furtive means. Let he who is without sin cast the first stone.

This is the issue of the whole investigation.
We cannot remove the possibility from using illicit or "illegal" means from a free press if the outcome is to benefit society as as a whole, as has been shown many times just because a law is in place donst make it right or just or even the government who created it . I however do not believe and again history shows us this that this marks a whole scale disregard for the law in general if any thing it makes people stop and think and attempt to make sense of actions that maybe deemed illegal by their society yet in a longer run turn out to be just . Neither should we be using such an archaic moral compass as he with out sin etc . Its too simplistic in these grey turns . The world is not a simple binary system .

In this case we must look at if the out come justifies the means in which it was achieved . The NI actions can then be judged on an individual merit not as a gross generalisation.

There's obviously a lot of floating voters, and if The Sun gets behind labour, labour will win the next election, thus labour policy moves to centre-right itself to appeal to these voters.

To accuse the last Labour government of being left wing is an insult to Keir Hardie.

And what an excellent opening partnership he formed with Graham Gooch.

It's err those who can speak and write English and those who can't. No smiley.
No Rusty the joke is "There are only 10 types of people in the world: those who understand binary, and those who don't."
A belief is not the same as a rationalised understanding ... though given your many posts i could understand the confusion.

Though for more very poor mathematical pun's
"Why do mathematicians always confuse Halloween and Christmas?Because 31 Oct = 25 Dec."

Yeah, a former SM reporter prepared to give evidence against them in the enquiry apparently.
