cricket world cup 2015

The thing I don't understand is that there isn't a single member of that squad (Maybe Bell apart) who is in form. Everyone just looks completely shot of any confidence, form or tactical nous.

How can you get into a major tournament in that type of condition? Everything stinks when it comes to the current ECB and England team.

Still. Nice easy summer Test series against a pretty poor Aussie side low on confidence for us all to look forward to.

Hahahahahahaha

hahahahahahahaha

hahahahahahahahahahaha

Surely you can't be that bad without trying?

England had all the odds loaded in our favour. The whole competition was set up so that it was next to impossible for a full member side to be knocked out at the group stage. England were even seeded first. Bangladesh are playing in alien conditions. We had a tri-series in Australia before the World Cup to acclimatise. We had players playing in the Big Bash. We had a 5 test match series and a one-day series in Australia the year before that - Bangladesh have only ever been allowed to play 2 tests in Australia and that was a dozen years ago. We prepared for 6 months for this, sacrificing the intregrity of the Ashes.

Not only have England managed to get knocked out at the group stages, but they've done it with a match to spare. A match to spare! I think we're the first team to get eliminated!

Comedy run-outs, below par scores, refusing to pick the best players.

Bravo, Paul Downton; bravo, Peter Moores!

We've got to play NZ at home before that!

A very small ray of comfort - i think that cricket loving nation Scotland that were first out.

Too many bad decisions to list, I'm almost happy that we failed as I think we need a failure like this so the ECB are forced into addressing our prehistoric outlook on limited overs cricket.

On a side note I am happy that a couple of unfancied sides look like they'll make the quarters (Bangladesh there and Ireland looking good for a spot) at the expense of a couple of the big 8. The associates need more opportunities to play against the top sides. Hopefully the ICC will rethink shrinking the tournament.

I wouldn't ever want England to lose at anything, but if there is a silver lining to this debacle then let it be this.

Exactly. I can't believe it would be in the best interests of the game to reduce opportunities for associate members.

Moores and Morgan must now fall on the sword, the ECB might take a good look at it's self as well, gentleman how do think this will effect your over priced ODI matchs now ffs wake up and smell the coffee.

Interesting thought. The ECB deserve us fans to boycott England games this summer, but we won't. In fact, many of the big internationals are already virtual sell-outs. Hell, try keeping this mug away from the Oval on August 20th...

Well played Bangladesh by the way. Amid all the justifiable hand-wringing about England, they deserve credit for the win.

I look forward to cut ticket prices to see the world champions play an ODI at The Oval on June 12th now.

We'll have to look at the data. Bye Moores. Bye Downton.

Fantastic win against the world beaters Afghanistan today ..on to the next phase we go ..oh wait.:'(

very easy win for SA v SL, have they lost the chokers tag? Fully deserved but it is a shame to see Sanga and Jayawardene bow out like that

Not even the Saffers could choke 133, very impressive bowling performance. Let's see how they go chasing a defendable score before freeing them of chokers yet though. AB De Villiers seems to feel the need to mention it in every press conference which suggests it still plays on their mind.

AB does seem to be of a changable nature though haha:

"I just want to sit in my room and feelsad," de Villiers said after the 130-run loss to India. He suggested histeam may "not be as good as we think we are" and were "notprepared to fight it out", after the match against Pakistan. Then, not aweek after having "nothing good to say about the team," de Villiersdelivered as high-flying a self-appraisal as has been heard all World Cup long."I 100% believe we are the best team in the tournament here," hesaid.

Martin Guptill. ****ing hell.

Aside from an hour of Australia v Pakistan, the most one-sided quarters you could imagine. Should be two fantastic semi-finals though.

Surprised to see NZ as big as 6/5 for tonight's game. Even though I'm on SA for the tournament, I think I'll have a bit of that.
