Colchester Ticket Thread

My mate was on the phone to them for 40 minutes and when he got down to 1 they cut him off! This is the 2nd time this has happened to us, happened when we were booking our Chelsea tickets!

i got mine tickets
but
i look up Colchester ground on the Football Ground Guide and they saying what evey other away fans have been saying and thats when u get there it be seat were u like,

If I've understood you correctly, you're assuming that it'll be sit "where you like" on the day. That may well be the case when 300 or so turn up and there're plenty of spare seats around. When it's a sell-out like I presume will be the case when we visit then it'll be sit in your reserved seat.

If anyone thinks they can buy a £20 ticket and then plonk themselves in my seat then they're going to be very disappointed.

So, if you (anybody, not the original poster) want to sit in a particular part of the ground, or have a desire to sit together with your mates, then buy the right tickets, and buy them together or be prepared to sit where your ticketed seat is on the day.

Could not have put it better myself i got the dearest seats and they ARE the ones we will be sitting in.

Phone up earlier was no. 20 so didn't bother to hold. Rang again about 12.15 & started at no. 3. All sorted quite quickly.

Which part of the colchester website does it tell you that on? Because absolutely no point in having a pricing policy if you can buy the cheapest tickets and sit in the most expensive seats

It won't be on the official Ewe's website of course. It's probably just inane chatter on another site from fans who've visited previously. It may be true that when the away following is small you can sit where you like but their away end has never sold out before so they've never had to enforce the policy. This time I expect they will.

millwall took allocation and they sat where they like?

Why are you all so keen to attend a match that is bound to end in yet more disappointment ?

As for the ticket pricing, it is my understanding that many of the £24 tickets offer a worse view that the £20 ones. In particular, the seats directly behind the goal are said to be worth avoiding.

As for going in the home end, it will be far easier to spot the 'unwelcome guests' than at Layer Road. I would imagine that numerous ejections, followed by a similar number of three year banning orders, will go down very nicely.

I went down after work with SUFCEssex and picked up 14 tickets between us .. Can't wait for this one !!!

FAO: STANBRIDGE you can only get a banning order for arrestable offence which you get found guilty off in a court of law.
going in the home end is not an offence.(you might support essex football on a whole)?.
as long as you dont wear a sufc shirt and sing our songs then your asking to be ejected(which is the worse they can do).
scum(YOU) average 4000 home fans max at home games, there be double that on the day.
who would know who you are?

your worried we will have more fans than you.

And if they did that to every SUFC fan in the home ends, we'd still have a higher average gate than you.
