Colchester Ticket Thread

Yes I get your point hindle but I suppose if they gave your lot 4000 tickets and then we needed more than 6000, they would be accused of ignoring their own fans. They could not split a stand easily because of the concourse areas below are all open to both sides of the stand, the only one that can be split is the away stand. I think they will be looking out for away fans in the home areas on Saturday, if they behave themseves I think it will be ok, but if there is any trouble they will be chucked out. We had a similar problem at Ipswich as we filled the away stand and had fans in the home areas as well, Ipswich fans were doing their best to get Colchester fans ejected resulting in some pretty dodgy moments for the stewards.

i can see the same happening, maybe they should have give the north initially, then split the south if we needed more(which we now know is the case)like they used to at your old place.

Thats a very good idea hindle, pity my club did not think of that, 3000 tickets would probably have been about right for the Southend demand.

Or give us the side opposite the main stand ?? again 3000 at a guess ??

A bit more of a problem that one BB, yes that would be the East stand about 3000 capacity, but this houses the family enclosure at one end and a lot of the "Barside" types at the other so lots of season ticket holders would be displaced, there are not so many season ticket holders in the North stand.

if there are any away fans in your ends these is more than a few cant see
the police ejecting more likely moving them to a empty part of the ground
unless a complete sell out

you have dirty leeds to come yet and they where in the yeovil home end
last game of last season and there was more of them without tickets outside
colleague at work is a leeds supporter and was at the match police and stewards could just cope

6,290 tickets is their record?! Oh my god - what a complete embaressment. That is awful. They should be ashamed of such a pathetic number. No wonder they are wetting their pants about playing us.

In regard to all these points I see only one solution.

It would've been much fairer and cost effective for both clubs if we had been given the whole home end and then just put all the Colchester fans in their own away end. We'd have filled our bit and they would just about fill theres. Word.
