Breaking News Charley Kendall Signs

LS used to be so on point with certain things and was understandably respected for it. But has been way off for a while now. Posting specific players doesn't help the fan base when the player in question isn't coming.

Kendall still under contract?

Woking Football Club is pleased to announce the signing of Charley Kendall.

The forward, 23, has joined on a permanent deal until the end of the 2024/25 season for an undisclosed fee from Lincoln City.

Kendall came through the ranks at Queen's Park Rangers. He made his first move into senior football with Eastbourne Borough, scoring five goals in 15 appearances on loan in 2020/21 before signing permanently for 2021/22.

Following the permanent move, his time at the club was a success, scoring 24 National League South goals and earning a move to League One Lincoln City in 2022. Kendall scored on his Lincoln debut against Doncaster Rovers, before heading out on loan to Sutton United and Bromley to see out 2022/23. Most recently, he featured for Dagenham & Redbridge.

Kendall becomes Michael Doyle's fourth signing since becoming First Team Manager.

Charley is available for player sponsorship. Contact commercial@wokingfc.co.uk for more information.

Only until the end of the season when he can leave for free.

I’ve no recollection of him from the three games he appears to have played against us (which isn’t unusual) but he’s a good age profile - similar to when we signed Tom Hopper, BBBC etc with enough games under his belt that he could be poised for a breakthrough season.

He’ll know a few of the side having presumably been at QPR with Gubbins, played with Walker at Daggers etc

The reason I posted this was that he was being talked about as the potential signing Chris Phillips reported on in the Echo. So, no ideas as to who the mystery striker is?

I expect it’s Charley Kendall.

If he can walk for free at the end of the season Woking will likely accept a small fee with a sell-on clause now rather than lose him for nothing in a few months.

I guess they might have an option? More often than not we would. Who knows.

Got every signing this season, except Hillson & Golding (knew this one was incoming but kept quiet), but okay 👍🏼

Blues were interested in Quigley but I deleted it shortly after as it seems we won’t be able to pay his wages.

There’s another National League striker and I’m chasing right now - it’s a name on this thread so won’t be much surprise to all.

There’s also a striker at Step 2 we’re interested in, as well as a goalkeeper, centre back and centre midfielder that we are keen on.

Cheers for the update as always
