I have a 3-step solution to this teensy problem.

1: Boycott all games so the children get no experience of first team atmosphere
2: Every time a lower league side gets the ball, kick it as far into the stands as possible.
3: Every time a Premiers**t youngster gets the ball, try to break his legs.

Reckon that'd sort it.

Unbelievable. But it's quite simple, we just play our under-21 side. Just treat the competition with the total lack of respect it deserves.

Competition rules don't allow that, which is why I said we need to put out the weakest team possible.

I also suggest we boycott the FA Cup, which will make the competition worthless, and mean PL clubs won't have more opportunity to play their 21s against FL clubs.

I think it's simple. People should stay away from this competition and instead protest for the whole game outside, or choose a non league game which is being played on the same day.

If the premiership club's want more experience for their youngsters then they should not store them up in their academies. Reduce the playing squad of the premiership, or create a new cup competition for just the under 21s in premiership and championships and charge £5 entry. Should then get the crowds in and their pampered stars of the future get to play with a reasonable crowd without ruining the lower leagues cup competition. I'd sooner see non league teams join than premiership academies.

We should boycott the Johnstones Paint trophy and anyone attending branded as a scab. This is the thin end of the wedge and people have no idea what it will lead to. The premier league sides want their reserve sides in the football league. Think this won't affect Southend? Well think again. It was only a few years ago we were finishing in the bottom half of the fourth division, precisely the sides they want to replace. Accrington replaced by Man City B, Braintree replaced by Chelasea B, Southend replaced by Tottenham reserves. Think it won't happen? It bloody well will.

Boycott the johnstones paint trophy. Target the sponsors and most of all target the scumbags who turn up to support premiership reserve teams. Children crying, parents distressed foreigners frightened. That's what I want. Or we lose SUFC and a great deal of other football league clubs.

Hope your mum doesn't read this post. You might get grounded for a week.

Maybe there should also be a rule that these under 21 teams should be all British. Why should we be used to nurture future internationals for other countries?

Terrible decision IMHO, a member on one of our message boards said so far Accrington, Hartlepool, Portsmouth, Wimbledon and Luton have said they voted against this decision.

Isn't that orient already?

Maybe, just maybe the premiershxxe clubs put pressure on the smaller clubs re loaning out their youngsters.wether that's the case or not they can still get stuffed

Presumably the Championship clubs, a large number of which have been or continue to be in receipt of massive parachute payments from the Premiership as reward for failure, were included in the vote. Their votes combined with those of willing dupes like Kavanagh who can't see further than the next cash handout probably carried the day.

I'm sure that the regular fan that goes to matches and is concerned about the demise of lower league clubs will take appropriate steps over this shocking decision. But what concerns me is the Mexican waving, once in a blue moon attendee that wants to see Premiersh!te kids locally running around on the hallowed turf of Roots Hall. If enough of them attend, that just might make the EFL think they were right.

Very harsh. Kavanagh is highly regarded and frequently flies the flag for lower league sides against the FL. He's taken them to task several times, including over away tickets prices, and that I do know for a fact.

All you angry people who want to boycott matches and don't like the 'big boys' of the premiership treading all over us, are no doubt cancelling your sky TV as we speak.......No, thought not.

That's not really the point though is it?!

I don't mind watching Premiership football, I enjoy it. I don't enjoy having Premiership Under 21/B teams/academies teams being put into a competition for lower league sides.

The LDV/JPT or whatever it's called has rewarded us as a club with two trips to the Millenium Stadium and one to Wembley. It's awarded other clubs the same, it's the best chance for a lot of lower league clubs to play at Wembley.

As I said before, I won't be attending any games against these sides, even if that means missing out on a trip to Wembley. I'd rather watch us against bottom of league two, then against an Under 21 side. Farcical.

[FONT=EFL_Light]Well, although I am against it in principle, it does say.............'Full details for 2016/17’s competition will be finalised within the next 14 days'. So first of all let's wait until then to see what has been agreed. My other point would be is that you can see why clubs would vote for it as there will be a group stage so clubs will be guaranteed three games (and the money that will bring) extra to their normal season's games. Clubs of course like extra games for gate receipts etc.

Anyway that's my two penneth!

Money is the point, lots of it. How else can Chelsea afford to have 80 players on their books. Money equals power, so why are we surprised when the PL starts to flex a bit of muscle.

For every £1 of Sky money given to L1, they give about £200 to the PL.

Really ? He has always struck me as someone who talks a good job. But does he deliver? I may be wrong. Remind me of his various successes in taking the Football League to task and what was achieved?

I look forward to hearing his "compelling reasons".
