Ignore the first half of the statement, it's not necessary and is only paying lip service to the debt he's written off in the past. Quite what this has to do with anything is beyond me, as it's not going help here.

IMO it comes across as a bit of desperate plea to us, the fans, not to get on his back, because afterall he's spent x amount of ridding this debt and x amount on ridding that debt etc etc.

Indeed, a crumb of hope there.

RM seems certain that the monies will be in place (However that maybe) to pay the debt in FULL to HMRC. But it doesn't say by next Weds. It just says "given a further short respite"

So does that mean this respite, or another one is needed as Cricko alludes to?

it says he will make a further statement in advance of the weekend.

If we have the money...why not PAY IT NOW?

I bet we haven't unless he's prepared to put an awful lot of strain on his non football businesses (somebody alluded on another thread that Martin Dawn plc made a lost of £350k last set of accounts).

Eggs in one basket spring to mind.
I think as painful as administration might prove, at least we are still a trading entity & clubs like Bournemouth seem to be proving the one step back two steps forward theory!

If its a dead cert that in a few weeks time we will get a windfall from Sainsbury surely he / the club must have contacts for a temporary loan for £700k !

Or am i being naive

You boys will look forward to playing here next year :-)

Ron Martin is going to put this club into administration, thats a fact. He paid off those debts as he saw a massive carrot at the end with the property at Fossets farm. Not putting money aside to pay your tax bill is **** poor management, not even Vic Jobson (RIP) was this bad.

Weren't you playing Bayern Munich in the UEFA Cup a few years ago?

Of all the people I'd have thought who'd know better about a Club's ability to quickly fall from grace, I thought it'd be a Norwich fan.

Still, good luck this season against Wycombe and everything. You utter bell end.
