BT- OD week 11

End of Over 25: 107-4, runrate=4.28
Deakin 6-1-16-1
Barnes* 12 (30 balls)
Barry 0 (4 balls)
Last Wicket: Garraway c. Sipho b. Deakin 10 (FOW: 107/4)

We're out of the best batsmen now, so anything couild happen. I see the lower order and tail waggling though.

Stubbern partnership

End of Over 27: 93-6, runrate=3.44
Gamage 7-4-10-2
Thabiso* 21 (23 balls)
Loxley 12 (39 balls)

Last Wicket: Joseph b. Gamage 0 (FOW: 57/6)

End of Over 28: 118-4, runrate=4.21
Rennie 4-0-14-0
Barnes* 17 (34 balls)
Barry 6 (18 balls)
Last Wicket: Garraway c. Sipho b. Deakin 10 (FOW: 107/4)

Deakin has 3 overs left. If he can eek out another we'll have a good chance.

31.2 4 Carson to Prag
Worked to fine leg and a misfield brings four.
Thats his 150. A fine knock.
31.1 2 Carson to Prag
Short of length ball and turning in. Prag moves back and flicks it away to square leg. They run hard and complete two.

End of Over 31: 242-0, runrate=7.81
Hammill 9-0-68-0
Prag* 146 (106 balls)
Jefferson 92 (80 balls)

They've done a good job of squeezing the RR, but I've got good bats hidden at 4, 5 and 6, so still hopeful of a good score.

BATTY SHRIMPERS v Pendle CC

Pendle CC won the toss and elected to field.
Pitch: Cracked

End of Over 34: 146-1, runrate=4.29
Lightbody 7-1-27-0
Evelyn* 68 (87 balls)
Nagendranath 16 (29 balls)

Last Wicket: Ricketts Run Out 57 (FOW: 121/1)

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

Mohammed and Eagles back on for their last spells, Mrs BB probably needs 3 wickets in the next 5 overs

Hoveshire Hawks v DIBS DIPPERS

Hoveshire Hawks won the toss and elected to bat.
Pitch: Dusty

End of Over 35: 124-2, runrate=3.54
Mohammed 8-4-13-2
Lees* 51 (82 balls)
Mccafferty 63 (102 balls)

Last Wicket: Crane c. Stride b. Mohammed 2 (FOW: 7/2)

End of Over 42: 337-0, runrate=8.02
Rees 9-0-76-0
Jefferson* 124 (117 balls)
Prag 203 (139 balls)

41.6 1 Rees to Jefferson
Outside off stump, and nearly spooned to cover. No real need to play at that delivery.
41.5 1 Rees to Prag
Full length delivery, edged onto the pad, and down to the off side for a quick single.
41.4 2 Rees to Prag
Prag has steered that through the inner ring, and Gough picks it up just inside the boundary.
41.3 4 Rees to Prag
Beautifully guided to the third man boundary for four.
A double century. Very good innings this.

That was a stubborn tail

End of Over 43: 125-10, runrate=2.91
Knight 6-0-31-4
Mcconnell* 15 (29 balls)

42.4 W Knight to Marshall
Too short to drive, and he's got a feather onto it where it flies through to Bartlett for a simple catch. The umpire gives a nod of the head and Marshall is on his way.

Had a little bit of a collapse, but hopefully these 2 will see us through to the end.

BATTY SHRIMPERS v Pendle CC

Pendle CC won the toss and elected to field.
Pitch: Cracked

End of Over 44: 212-4, runrate=4.82
Westall 7-1-31-2
Lea* 1 (1 balls)
Middleton 5 (2 balls)

Last Wicket: Evelyn b. Westall 93 (FOW: 211/4)

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

Mrs BB just about keeping a lid on her game

Hoveshire Hawks v DIBS DIPPERS

Hoveshire Hawks won the toss and elected to bat.
Pitch: Dusty

End of Over 44: 171-4, runrate=3.89
Leigh 7-0-35-0
Draper* 19 (14 balls)
Hunt-seviour 15 (21 balls)

Last Wicket: Lees c. Shaw b. Mohammed 54 (FOW: 137/4)

End of Over 45: 214-5, runrate=4.76
Cronin 8-0-57-0
Barnes* 66 (83 balls)
Dodd 17 (19 balls)
Last Wicket: Barry c. Rennie b. Granville 29 (FOW: 170/5)

Looking at 250 here. Cronin just not good enough for this level yet. Will be pleased if we get 150 in reply as they got us for 88 last time.

End of Over 48: 227-10, runrate=4.73
Sipho 9-1-33-6
Barnes* 71 (88 balls)

Surprised we took the last 5 that easily. Sipho doing a brilliant job. Need runs from Hudson, Davenport and Granville today - can't have any of them failing.

annoying. still, he's smashed his OD best of 130 and he's bound to go up the averages now (currently 6th in the division)

47.3 W Hodge to Prag
Prag is not going to be happy with that shot, Burton has a very safe pair of hands.
47.2 1 Hodge to Murray
Smacked back down the pitch. Hodge takes some pace off it so it's just a single.
47.1 1 Hodge to Prag
Edged but just short of the keeper, and they'll get through for a single. Good running.

End of Over 47: 389-1, runrate=8.28
Edwards 9-0-77-0
Prag* 225 (152 balls)
Murray 8 (5 balls)

Turned it in to a full-blown collapse, going to need early wickets

BATTY SHRIMPERS v Pendle CC

Pendle CC won the toss and elected to field.
Pitch: Cracked

End of Over 49: 238-9, runrate=4.86
Loxley 10-0-43-4
Raziuddin* 3 (7 balls)
Prasad 0 (1 balls)

Last Wicket: Oconnor lbw b. Loxley 2 (FOW: 238/9)

Edit - All out for 240. I suppose it's not bad on a Cracked pitch in Humid conditions

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

Mrs BB's done OK barring any last over disasters

Hoveshire Hawks v DIBS DIPPERS

Hoveshire Hawks won the toss and elected to bat.
Pitch: Dusty

End of Over 49: 204-6, runrate=4.16
Higgs 10-0-46-1
Draper* 35 (29 balls)
Rossouw 1 (1 balls)

Last Wicket: Maguire c. Owens b. Higgs 1 (FOW: 202/6)

Edit - Mrs BB needs 209 to win

End of Over 50: 421-2, runrate=8.42
Hodge 10-0-82-2
Murray* 22 (14 balls)
Sutherland 16 (7 balls)

Last Wicket: Prag c. Burton b. Hodge 226 (FOW: 391/2)

easy! easy!

End of Over 2: 2-2, runrate=1.00, reqrunrate=8.75 (421-2)
Holroyd 1-0-1-1
Gough* 2 (6 balls)
Illett 0 (1 balls)

Last Wicket: Burton c. Back b. Holroyd 0 (FOW: 2/2)

End of Over 10: 29-1, runrate=2.90, reqrunrate=4.98 (227-10)
Tenius 5-1-13-1
Thay* 10 (29 balls)
Davenport 0 (3 balls)
Last Wicket: Hudson lbw b. Tenius 16 (FOW: 29/1)

Hudson fails. Can't see us doing this now.

Not going well. The last 15 overs of this game have been an un-mitigated disaster

BATTY SHRIMPERS v Pendle CC

Pendle CC won the toss and elected to field.
Pitch: Cracked

End of Over 9: 50-1, runrate=5.56, reqrunrate=4.66 (240-10)
Middleton 5-0-31-1
Sutton* 23 (28 balls)
Malik 11 (8 balls)

Last Wicket: Glasser c. Lea b. Middleton 15 (FOW: 34/1)

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

Potter's failed again for Mrs BB, he's had a rubbish season for someone with his ability

Hoveshire Hawks v DIBS DIPPERS

Hoveshire Hawks won the toss and elected to bat.
Pitch: Dusty

End of Over 9: 46-2, runrate=5.11, reqrunrate=3.98 (208-6)
Queque 5-0-31-1
Eagles* 13 (14 balls)
Stride 16 (18 balls)

Last Wicket: Owens c. Crane b. Queque 8 (FOW: 31/2)

What level is Potter? And what's his form? Hudson has been below feeble form all season and has not registered a good score in my OD league all season. He has 116 from a cup game I believe, and has scored about 80 in all the other innings. May sell him in the close-season if it doesn't improve.

End of Over 10: 52-2, runrate=5.20, reqrunrate=3.43 (188-10)
Nichol 5-0-24-0
Montgomery* 8 (13 balls)
Pembridge 15 (20 balls)
Last Wicket: Finnan b. Hammill 9 (FOW: 30/2)

Better than I expected, but I can't see myself chasing down 187 against their attack (BTRs of 200,000, 168,000 and 123,000) on a green pitch on a humid and overcast day.

oh ****.

Particularly when this happens

10.5 W Hammill to Montgomery
Drives on the up...oh my goodness, he's hit it straight to mid off. Montgomery has just thrown his wicket away and doesn't he know it!

Now 56-3 game over.
