Brexit negotiations thread

So Uber Brexiteer James Dyson has relocated his HQ to Singapore soon after a free trade deal between the EU and Singapore was announced. Sony have relocated to The Netherlands with a loss of 1000 jobs. CitiBank are looking to move their operational base into the EU.

Ever get a feeling you've been conned?

The advantage we have in the financial sector is that we have most of the expertise here at the moment so major damage hasn't been done.......yet. A lot of the big boys are going the dual domiciled route at the moment so they get the advantage of being in the European single market. It is a big fear, certainly within the Lloyds market, that this is the thin end of the wedge and more and more jobs will slowly filter over to the continent. Most of our big syndicates are US and Japanese owned so they will do what makes business sense. There has already been jobs lost here and new ones created in the EU and a slow continuation of this looks very much on the cards.

Very unlikely in my book.
We may raise a collective eyebrow, have a quivery top lip and seem slightly miffed but we won't go that far.

This morning I listened to Nick Ferrari speaking to Neil Basu on the radio.

When asked if he thought Brexit could be an opportunity to cause mischief, Basu said that he “thinks It could be” & his police force were in stand-by to deal with any unrest.

He also went on to mention that the threat from far-right extremists is progressively on the rise, and his counter-terrorism unit have stopped four plots to kill/main in the last year.

Maybe you’re right. Maybe there will be no significant recourse taken by millions of disgruntled voters. Maybe.

Thats nothing to do with Brexit. These Nazi ****wit ****s are just using it an excuse.

From what I’ve heard, it’s only 2 of his staff that are actually being relocated to Singapore, and that’s because his business plan, is to focus on that Far-Eastern market.

On top of that, he hasn’t produced anything in this Country since 2003, but still has 4000 employees here in Britain.

Don’t let the biased remain-leaning media con you into believing this is a big scoop

Of course, that’s the point. Do you think if Brexit is scrapped, that these people will slink away?

No. If anything, It’s more likely that they would gain supporters.

Supporters ready to act, on the streets.

It sounds like you want it. Would you be out on the streets if Brexit was revoked due to a second referendum?

Not at all. Far from it, infact.

Just because I don’t agree with it, doesn’t mean I don’t recognise it.

Good to know. I agree if their is a second referendum or an extension of article 50 there will be trouble without a doubt. But it will die down after a few months.

Yes indeed, the majority in Britain believe they have, including those that didn't vote and many decent remainers. The irony is your post was number 5001 and you still don't accept the result.

We voted out. We voted not just out but out, out. If the EU wanted to do a deal and trade with us that was fine. No there was never going to be any freedom of movement strings attached, everybody leave or remain knew exactly that when they voted.

Depending on what kind of civil unrest occurs, A few months, could feel like a lifetime to some.

A few months of people being p*ssed off, isn’t going to create a big deal of problems.

A few months of people protesting/demonstrating/rioting (yellow vest style) is slightly different. Just ask the Parisians

One bit of news from France that amused me this week. You will need a permit to demonstrate......The permit can only be issued from the people they are demonstrating against.

I (we in the south) get pretty p****d off when people suggest that the whole f*****g world revolves around Paris. The biggest 'gilets jaunes' protest last weekend was, sadly, in Toulouse.

Utter nonsense

Diane Abbott in 2012: “White people love playing divide and rule”.

Is that not racist to you?

Diane Abbott in 1996: “Blonde-haired, blue-eyed Finnish girls are unsuitable nurses, because they’ve never met a black person before”.

Is that not racist to you?

Diane Abbott 1984 speaking on the Unionist population of NI: “Enclave of white supremacist ideology comparable with white settlers in Zimbabwe”.

Is that not racist to you?

Those crafty Frenchies & they’re Jedi-mind tricks
