What is it with some of the fans on this site? I guess FM makes supermanagers out of all of us. If PS has decided to get experience at what is the most crucial phase of our season rather than put that much pressure on an untested reserve player, then perhaps he has good reason for doing so. DB may turn out to be a good keeper and hopefully for us, but he is young and maybe now is not his time. How far would it set DB back if he came in and leaked goals all over the place. lets just welcome the new keeper and wish him all the best.

All the people moaning about his height! We haven't even seen him play. It's getting a bit boring now reading people moaning about our signings before they have even played. We are Southend united not ****ing man city! We aren't exactly going to attract the best players.

Great news in that he cant be any worse than the useless Morris and its unfair to play a 18 year old keeper. Lets hope he impresses and stays until the end of the season.

I don't see how we can play an 18 year old debutant whilst we're still trying to get somewhere in this division. Bentley is here for the future and emergencies, he's not here to play first team games at the moment.

So everyone slags Ron off when he "undermines" Sturrock by going into the dressing room after one of the worst performances in living memory, claiming that PS should be allowed to manage, yet now everyone is slagging Sturrock for bringing in a loanee keeper that no-one has ever seen but on opinons based on a few tweets from some Bury fans and the fact that he's not 6' 3".

Anyway, this lad is starting from such a low point, he only has to be average to outperform everyone's expectations. After a month everyone will want him to stay.

I do hope some of you don't get asked to do Jury service. You'd all find the defendant guilty based on name and appearance!

Agree with you there, however how can you chuck someone in the team who only met the team this morning, he should of started bentley and gave him a chance and then let Belford train with boys learn the set ups and play him Monday.

All looked a bit awkward on the warm up.
Maybe because belford caused some trouble last year with Crawford who knows

Big step to throw him in. Didn't we do that with a promising keeper called Ray White once and destroy him. For my mind we should be loaning him out to get him some experience.

I think someone needs to get their tape measure out and determine just how tall he is, as nobody seems to be in agreement:

- Soccerbase says he is 5' 6"
- his profile on Sky Sports website says he is 1.72m (5' 7")
- JamesTheSuperBlue says he is 5' 8"
- Wikipedia says he is 5' 11"
- Transfermarkt says he is 1.85m (6' 0")

How can there be a variation of seven inches? Just what are they measuring??
